The aeroassisted flight experiment (AFE) refers to an experimental spacecraft to be launched and then recovered by the Space Shuttle. It simulates a transfer from a geosynchronous Earth orbit (GEO) to a low Earth orbit (LEO). In this paper, with reference to an AFE-type spacecraft, an actual GEO-to-LEO transfer is considered under the following assumptions: the GEO and LEO orbital planes are identical; both the initial and final orbits are circular; the initial phase angle is given, while the final phase angle is free. The aeroassisted orbital transfer trajectory involves three branches: a preatmospheric branch, GEO-to-entry; an atmospheric branch, entry-to-exit; a post-atmospheric branch, exit-to-LEO. The optimal trajectory is determined by minimizing the total characteristic velocity. The optimization is performed with respect to the velocity impulses at GEO, LEO, and the time history of the angle of bank during the atmospheric pass. It is assumed that the entry path inclination is free and that the angle of attack is constant, = 17.0 deg. The sequential gradient-restoration algorithm is used to compute the optimal trajectory and it is shown that the best atmospheric pass is to be performed with constant angle of bank. The resulting optimal trajectory constitutes an ideal nominal trajectory for the generation of guidance trajectories for two reasons: the fact that the low value of the characteristic velocity is accompanied by relatively low values of the peak heating rate and the peak dynamic pressure; and the simplicity of the control distribution, requiring constant angle of bank.  相似文献

Methods are proposed for constructing the orbits of spacecraft remaining for long periods of time in the vicinity of the L 2 libration point in the Sun-Earth system (so-called halo orbits), and the trajectories of uncontrolled flights from low near-Earth orbits to halo orbits. Halo orbits and flight trajectories are constructed in two stages: A suitable solution to a circular restricted three-body problem is first constructed and then transformed into the solution for a restricted four-body problem in view of the real motions of the Sun, Earth, and Moon. For a halo orbit, its prototype in the first stage is a combination of a periodic Lyapunov solution in the vicinity of the L 2 point and lying in the plane of large-body motion, with the solution for the linear second-order system describing small deviations of the spacecraft from this plane along the periodic solution. The desired orbit is found as the solution to the three-body problem best approximating the prototype in the mean square. The constructed orbit serves as a similar prototype in the second stage. In both stages, the approximating solution is constructed by continuation along a parameter that is the length of the approximation interval. Flight trajectories are constructed in a similar manner. The prototype orbit in the first stage is a combination of a solution lying in the plane of large-body motion and a solution for a linear second-order system describing small deviations of the spacecraft from this plane. The planar solution begins near the Earth and over time tends toward the Lyapunov solution existing in the vicinity of the L 2 point. The initial conditions of both prototypes and the approximating solutions correspond to the spacecraft’s departure from a low near-Earth orbit at a given distance, perigee, and inclination.  相似文献

The main characteristics of the trajectory design of space observatory missions in the Earth–Sun libration point region is highlighted, based on experiences gained in work performed by the authors on ESA missions. Free transfers always lead to large-amplitude orbits around L2, their properties (amplitudes, phases, non-linear behaviour) are related to the conditions at perigee. Launch scenarios with different degrees of freedom in the perigee geometry and different strategies of sharing the apogee raising between launcher and spacecraft propulsion for Soyuz (with circular parking orbit or direct injection) and Ariane 5 launches from French Guiana will be discussed. Besides the orbit selection and transfer analysis, an important aspect of libration missions is the maintenance of the operational orbit. For some missions it is required to maximise the time between maintenance manoeuvres, and for some the thrust authority is limited. In both cases the exponential nature of the state transition matrix has to be considered. If the equivalent velocity error in the unstable direction becomes too large, the orbit can become unrecoverable, leading to a departure from the environment of the Lagrange point within a few months.  相似文献

针对椭圆轨道卫星近/远地点的星下点对全球或特定纬度区域的访问问题,提出一种连续小推力下的对地覆盖控制策略。首先,推导了自然摄动对卫星拱线变化的影响,并探讨了进行小推力覆盖控制的必要性。然后,针对燃料消耗的优化问题,将控制方程展开成含傅里叶级数的形式,用以获得便于星上计算的解析形式的次优解,同时探讨了截取阶数与优化程度的关系。在进行拱线控制的同时,通过合理设置约束,对椭圆轨道的近地点高度进行保护,确保卫星安全运行。仿真结果表明,提出的方法能够以适当的燃料消耗代价实现椭圆轨道的近/远地点的全球覆盖控制或特定纬度区域的反复推扫,且控制力在可接受的范围内。  相似文献

Trajectories of spacecraft entry into the planetary atmosphere with a velocity essentially exceeding the first cosmic velocity are considered. An estimation of the minimum permissible value of the altitude of conditional pericenter (perigee in the case of the Earth), at which extreme permissible value of maximum overload is reached, is of the main interest. Semianalytic formulas including the cases of considerable values of the maximum overload are suggested.  相似文献

In order to carry out tasks of the RadioAstron mission, a high-apogee orbit was designed. On average, the period of its satellite’s orbit around the Earth is 8.5 days with evolution due to gravitational perturbations produced by the Moon and the Sun. The perigee and apogee of this orbit vary within the limits 7500–70000 km and 270000–333000 km, respectively. The basic evolution of the orbit represents a rotation of its plane around the line of apsides. Over 3 years, the plane normal to the orbit draws on the celestial sphere an oval with a semi-major axis of about 150° and semi-minor axis of about 45°.  相似文献

Area-to-mass ratios for orbital debris tracked by the U.S. Space Command were calculated from observed changes in apogee and perigee altitude due to atmospheric drag. The area-to-masses observed for the orbital debris were similar to those found for debris from laboratory breakups, and suggest that much of the debris is composed of crumpled thin plates or of insulation material with low effective density. Areas for the debris objects were derived from radar cross-section data. Object masses were calculated from the ratio of the RCS-derived area to the area-to-mass ratio. Analysis of the distributions of fragment masses from the breakups suggests that in many cases, only a portion of the initial object breaks up into small fragments.  相似文献

从一个天地往返飞行器的上升轨道和再入返回轨道的优化,以及适用不同飞行任务的变轨要求的气动外形问题,提出一项基于气动力辅助变轨的变气动外形飞行器的新概念研究。对于一个固定气动外形飞行器要同时满足上升轨道有效载荷最大和再入轨道热流峰值、过载峰值及机动性能约束下的成本最低往往是困难的。若同时满足不同飞行任务:飞往太空站的运输任务,空间拦截和交会机动巡航任务及星际探测任务,则更为困难,实际上是不可能的。文章研究基于气动力辅助变轨,在热流约束下,气动外形参数变化对最优控制的影响。其结论为:热流约束下的最优控制解,包括考虑推力协同变轨,除了在非约束弧的滚转角不直接受气动外形影响外,其余的控制律,升力系数和滚转角都是气动外形参数和攻角的函数。因而变气动外形可作为一项新技术,即通过气动外形参数变化和相应的变轨策略而获得性能和成本都最佳的用途很广的一种新型飞行器。  相似文献

This paper presents the orbital maneuver (OM) and keeping of FORMOSAT-2 (or FS2, Formosa Satellite #2) since its launch on 20 May 2004. The successful launch put FS2 in a sun-synchronous parking orbit with 729.94 km perigee and 743.31 apogee. Taiwan’s National Space Organization (NSPO) then spent 11 days to perform the first orbital maneuver (OM#1) and raised FS2 to its sun-synchronous circular mission orbit at 888.47 km altitude. Due to various kinds of disturbances, FS2’s orbit shifts gradually but constantly. Therefore, four times of OM had been performed for orbital keeping. Details of all 5 OMs are described.  相似文献

For Space Transportation System (i.e. Space Shuttle) launched satellites destined for a Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO), there is a need for cost-effective, versatile propulsion systems to provide the perigee burn, i.e. to boost the satellite from Low Earth Orbit (LEO) to Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO). Surveys of commercial spacecraft activities and future GEO satellite requirements indicate that a spacecraft propulsion system that will provide the perigee burn for a broad range of future commercial satellites would have an excellent market potential.Parametric studies to investigate and define attractive perigee-burn upper propulsion systems (i.e. an Upper Propulsion Stage, or a UPS) are presented. The feasibility and payload capacilities that could be provided by a UPS assembled from essentially off-the-shelf components and subsystems, and the benefits that could be achieved by using major subsystems specifically tailored for the application are presented. The results indicate that attractive UPS configurations can be defined using either off-the-shelf or optimized major subsystems.  相似文献

We have analyzed the orbital disturbed spacecraft motion near an asteroid. The equations of the asteroidocentric spacecraft motion have been used with regard to three perturbations from celestial bodies, the asteroid’s nonsphericity, and solar radiation pressure. It has been shown that the orbital parameters of the main spacecraft and a small satellite with a radio beacon can be selected such that the orbits are rather stable for a fairly long period of time, i.e., a few weeks for the main spacecraft with an orbit initial radius of ~0.5 km and a few years before approaching Apophis with the Earth in 2029, for a small satellite at an orbit initial radius of ~1.5 km. The initial orientation of the spacecraft orbital plane perpendicular to the sunward direction is optimal from the point of view of the stability of the spacecraft flight near an asteroid.  相似文献

When Ariane 5 ECA development has been decided by Europe to increase Ariane 5 performance, the rule of 25 years in GTO orbit for the upper stage has been anticipated. This was 14 years ago and this rule was known to be satisfied with a perigee lower than 250 km. Even when lowering slightly Ariane 5 ECA performance, this maximum perigee altitude has been held and the whole Launch System has been developed under CNES responsibility with this GTO perigee. In the meantime, more precise calculations demonstrated that such a GTO perigee was giving for the ESCA a mean lifetime higher than 25 years. So studies are in progress inside CNES to decrease the perigee and re-enter inside the 25 years lifetime domain. This paper presents a CNES study to reduce the orbital lifetime of Ariane 5's upper stage that last in GTO after each commercial mission. Usually the aimed orbit has a perigee altitude of 250 km, an apogee altitude near to the geostationary position and an inclination between 2° and 7°. These conditions make stage's mean lifetime superior to 90 years. The CNES study is to expose the possibility to decrease this lifetime by reducing the perigee altitude of the final upper stage orbit through a passivation process optimised to produce orbit modification. It is shown that taking into account material and functional stage constraints the optimised passivation process is able to decrease the perigee by a few tenths of kilometres.  相似文献

The effect of solar radiation pressure and atmospheric drag on the orbital dynamics of satellites-on-a-chip (SpaceChips) is exploited to design equatorial long-lived orbits about the oblate Earth. The orbit energy gain due to asymmetric solar radiation pressure, considering the Earth's shadow, is used to balance the energy loss due to atmospheric drag. Future missions for a swarm of SpaceChips are proposed, where a number of small devices are released from a conventional spacecraft to perform spatially distributed measurements of the conditions in the ionosphere and exosphere. It is shown that the orbit lifetime can be extended and indeed selected through solar radiation pressure and the end-of-life re-entry of the swarm can be ensured, by exploiting atmospheric drag.  相似文献

The problems of investigation and optimization of the motion of spacecraft are extensively discussed in the literature. Nevertheless, in many cases a large variety of qualitative characteristics of their motion and of the form of their trajectories are still unclear. In this paper we consider a plane equiangular acceleration of a spacecraft both in a Newtonian field and in its absence (at a large distance from the center of attraction). The general equation of a trajectory of plane acceleration is presented with the introduction of a new variable, an index of an exponent, which allows one to obtain convenient solutions at different values of the time-independent angle of inclination of the vector of thrust to the spacecraft's radius vector (i.e., when equiangular acceleration takes place). Asymptotic solutions are constructed and an interesting fact is revealed. Namely, it is shown that when the center of attraction exists or is absent, for all initial conditions the trajectories appearing at the above equiangular acceleration of a material point tend to the standard logarithmic spirals at a large distance from the center. Specifically, when the value of transverse (perpendicular to the radius vector) thrust is constant, there appears a logarithmic spiral with an angle of inclination to the radius vector equal to 35.264°. Different forms of the trajectory of equiangular acceleration of spacecraft at a low thrust are also studied. The results obtained can be useful for the investigation and choice of optimum space trajectories.  相似文献

Magnetospheric MultiScale(MMS)任务利用椭圆轨道远地点附近的正四面体航天器编队,协同完成对地球磁层结构和动力学特性的测量和分析。采用基于轨道根数的相对运动模型,分析了主航天器轨道根数对J2项影响下四面体平均性能指标——质量因子均值和平均边长均值的影响规律,并由此提出一种编队轨道优化设计方案,将其应用于第1阶段MMS任务的四面体构形设计中。该方案的设计变量包括主航天器的6个轨道根数和3个从航天器的15个相对轨道根数(除相对半长轴外),目标函数既考虑到四面体编队的平均性能,又兼顾了3个从航天器相对运动的受摄影响。仿真算例显示,在不施加主动控制的条件下,利用该方案设计远地点附近平均性能保持最优的四面体编队是可行的。  相似文献

文章介绍了一个半经验的基于计算机的轨道碎片模型。该模型将轨道环境简化为6个不同的倾角带,每个倾角带都有各自的半长轴和近地点分布及根据不同的碎片来源有其各自的尺寸分布。用碰撞概率方程将轨道碎片分布与航天器上的碎片通量或通过地面探测器视角的通量联系起来。经比较,碎片的半长轴、近地点和倾角分布与美国空间司令部大于10cm的碎片目录是一致的。对于较小的碎片,这些分布与地面望远镜、“干草堆”雷达的测量结果一致,同时也与LDEF卫星和航天飞机的测量结果一致。  相似文献

The primary objective of the Proba-3 mission is to build a solar coronagraph composed of two satellites flying in close formation on a high elliptical orbit and tightly controlled at apogee. Both spacecraft will embark a low-cost GPS receiver, originally designed for low-Earth orbits, to support the mission operations and planning during the perigee passage, when the GPS constellation is visible. The paper demonstrates the possibility of extending the utilization range of the GPS-based navigation system to serve as sensor for formation acquisition and coarse formation keeping. The results presented in the paper aim at achieving an unprecedented degree of realism using a high-fidelity simulation environment with hardware-in-the-loop capabilities. A modified version of the flight-proven PRISMA navigation system, composed of two single-frequency Phoenix GPS receivers and an advanced real-time onboard navigation filter, has been retained for this analysis. For several-day long simulations, the GPS receivers are replaced by software emulation to accelerate the simulation process. Special attention has been paid to the receiver link budget and to the selection of a proper attitude profile. Overall the paper demonstrates that, despite a limited GPS tracking time, the onboard navigation filter gets enough measurements to perform a relative orbit determination accurate at the centimeter level at perigee. Afterwards, the orbit prediction performance depends mainly on the quality of the onboard modeling of the differential solar radiation pressure acting on the satellites. When not taken into account, this perturbation is responsible for relative navigation errors at apogee up to 50 m. The errors can be reduced to only 10 m if the navigation filter is able to model this disturbance with 70% fidelity.  相似文献

The spacecraft flights to the Near-Earth asteroid in order to give an impact influence on the asteroid, correct its orbit and prevent the asteroid’s collision with the Earth are analyzed.In the first part, the impulse flights are analyzed in the Lambert approach. There are determined the optimal trajectories maximizing the asteroid deviation from the Earth.In the second part, the flights with the chemical and electric-jet engines are analyzed. The high thrust is used to launch the spacecraft from the geocentric orbit, and the low thrust is applied for the heliocentric motion. On the base of optimal impulse transfer, the optimal low thrust trajectories are determined using Pontryagin maximum principle.The numerical results are given for the flight to the asteroid Toutatis. Parameters of the spacecraft impact on the asteroid are determined. The asteroid deviation from the Earth caused by the spacecraft influence is presented.  相似文献

针对火星进入段制导存在的“进入状态偏差”问题进行脱敏轨迹设计研究,以增强制导鲁棒特性,提升末端状态精度。首先分析倾侧角反转逻辑对弱机动能力航天器制导精度的影响,结果表明, 存在倾侧角调整性能约束时,反转逻辑会引起末端状态偏差并使系统对进入状态偏差敏感度上升,当制导采用现有纵向脱敏方法时其影响尤为突出,会导致严重失效问题;然后在解决敏感度传播奇异问题的基础上提出三自由度脱敏设计。其主要思路是轨迹优化中采用三自由度动力学方程,而敏感度罚项仍由纵向敏感度传播方程得出。蒙特卡洛仿真结果表明本文方法对进入状态偏差具有显著增强的鲁棒性能。  相似文献

The geosynchronous orbital regime has long been recognized as a unique space resource, dictating special measures to ensure its continuing use for future generations. During the past 20 yr a variety of national and international policies have been developed to preserve this environment. A review of current practices involving the deployment and disposal of geosynchronous spacecraft, associated upper stages and apogee kick motors, and geosynchronous orbit transfer objects indicates both positive and negative trends. Most spacecraft operators are indeed performing end-of-mission maneuvers, but the boost altitudes normally fall short of policy guidelines. Russia, a major operator in geosynchronous orbit, maneuvers only 1 in 3 spacecraft out of the region, while China has never retired a spacecraft above GEO. The viability of voluntary protection measures for this regime depends upon the responsible actions of the aerospace community as a whole.  相似文献
