Sidelobe blanking systems are useful in preventing acquisition of strong targets in the antenna sidelobes and also in rejecting pulsed interference originating in the sidelobes. The analysis of a common two-channel system is presented in which the relationship between the probability of main-lobe detection and the probability of sidelobe detection are given in terms of false-alarm probability, signal-to-noise ratio, and the ratio of sidelobe levels of the two channels. The numerical results given provide a basis for the selection of the sidelobe blanking channel antenna gain and threshold levels.  相似文献

The performance of distributed constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detection with data fusion both in homogeneous and nonhomogeneous Gaussian backgrounds is analyzed. The ordered statistics (OS) CFAR detectors are employed as local detectors. With a Swerling type I target model, in the homogeneous background, the global probability of detection for a given fixed global probability of false alarm is maximized by optimizing both the threshold multipliers and the order numbers of the local OS-CFAR detectors. In the nonhomogeneous background with multiple targets or clutter edges, the performance of the detection system is analyzed and its performance is compared with the performance of the distributed cell-averaging (CA) CFAR detection system  相似文献

Methods of detecting spread-sprectrum signals without knowledge of the pseudorandom code used to generate the signal are described. Exact and approximate methods of calculating relationships among detection probability, false alarm rate, and signal-to-noise ratio are given for radiometers and for channelized pulse-detection systems. The detection performance of the radiometer is compared graphically with that of pulse-detection systems, for two different kinds of pulse detection decision rules. Detection performance as a function of certain signal parameters is shown to be very different for a pulse-detection system than for a radiometer, and this difference in behavior provides a basis for selecting signal parameters that minimize the probability of detection. The reasoning that underlies the selection process is explained, and the process is outlined for each of several signal parameters.  相似文献

A distributed radar detection system that employs binary integration at each local detector is studied. Local decisions are transmitted to the fusion center where they are combined to yield a global decision. The optimum values of the two thresholds at each local processor are determined so as to maximize the detection probability under a given probability of false alarm constraint. The performance of a cell averaging constant false-alarm rate (CA-CFAR) detector degrades rapidly in nonideal conditions caused by multiple targets and nonuniform clutter. The ordered-statistic CFAR (OS-CFAR) is an alternative to the CA-CFAR. The OS-CFAR trades a small loss in detection performance relative to the CA-CFAR in ideal conditions for much less performance degradation in nonideal conditions. A formula is given for the detection probability of the OS-CFAR when there are multiple Swerling I targets in the CFAR window, and a formula is given for the probability of false alarm in nonuniform Raleigh clutter  相似文献

 基于传统的概率分析法提出一种评估歼击机导引效能的方法。以发现距离作为整个导引阶段的随机变量,提出导引效能指标。将歼击机在水平面内的航向导引分为远距导引与近距导引,分别把导航站引起的导引误差、歼击机对目标的拦截角作为随机变量,分析歼击机进入机载雷达发现区和武器攻击区的情况。通过计算机载雷达的累积发现概率给出发现距离函数。最后以某型歼击机使用中程空空导弹拦截目标为例,计算歼击机向目标的成功导引概率、有效导引距离及有效导引角度,分析主要参数对导引概率的影响规律。该方法可应用于歼击机空战时导引概率的计算。  相似文献

This paper considers the detection of a sinusoidal or chirp signal imbedded in wideband FM interference (as might be generated by some types of active jamming), such that after pulse compression or other integration, the interference can be approximated by a sum of sinusoids of independent phase. The detection probability in such non-Gaussian noise is compared to that for Gaussian noise, with the Gaussian result approached, as required, in the limit that the number of sinusoids in the sum increases without bound. For detection using a comparison of the envelope with a threshold which yields a given false-alarm probability (CFAR detection), the detection probability is improved over the case of Gaussian noise, so that the usual approach basing the design on Gaussian noise would be conservative. Using a threshold determined from the envelope mean, the FM interference yields a lower false-alarm probability than for Gaussian noise, with detection probability only slightly degraded.  相似文献

The improvement in SNR and detection range due to distributing an antenna array throughout the airframe and skin of an aircraft is examined. SNR formulas for three system configurations are presented and compared with that of a conventional, monostatic radar. Examples given in the paper show detection range increases as large as a factor of 4. Three additional potential advantages of the distributed array are an increase in spatial signal processing capability, an improvement in azimuthal resolution, and a potential reduction in transmitter power for fixed radar Performance so as to reduce the probability of intercept.  相似文献

在导弹航迹规划中,需要计算导弹突防过程中被雷达发现的概率。为此,在雷达方程中引入雷达系统特征常数以简化雷达方程,从探测概率与信噪比的关系出发,通过一系列的推导并考虑杂波的影响得出探测概率与目标距离的关系,提出在航迹规划中用横距探测概率来表征反舰巡航导弹的雷达突防能力。算例计算结果较为真实,表明该方法有一定应用价值。  相似文献

A method is described for adjusting the leval of an RF test signal generator relative to the noise level at the receiver output. The method compares a detected output to a threshold and counts the number of times noise and signal plus noise cross the threshold in a given number of tries. By setting the threshold at a given false alarm probability for noise alone and then adding the test signal and adjusting its level to give a specified detection probability, the signal-to-noise ratio can be calibrated to an accuracy that depends on the number of samples used to measure the probabilities. The false alarm and detection probabilities are given for best accuracy as well as the rms error in signal-to-noise ratio as a function of the number of samples used.  相似文献

By an extension to the theory of sequential detection with dependent measurements, it is possible to develop a sequential probability ratio test (SPRT) to detect changes in regime in a Gauss-Markov process rather than detecting which of the two regimes exists. It is shown how a posterior form of this extended SPRT may be simplified to reduce computational complexity. The simplified SPRT's are in fact modifications of the original SPRT detecting the regime and not the change. The tests are applied to the problem of fault detection in a gyro navigational system; the results of a detailed computer simulation are given.  相似文献

The power selection of a search radar is best obtained in the framework of the overall detection probability concept. This concept is here applied to fluctuating target models for single- and multiple-scan detection. The approach combines the pulse train statistics over the detection interval to the mean target statistics over the search region and directly relates the overall detection probability POD to a single system parameter ?0, proportional to the transmitted power.  相似文献

Modern radars characterized by electronically steered beams, frequency agility, and range-ambiguous waveforms can use a processing technique whereby each new detection is followed by a second dwell to verify the initial detection. The second dwell is used to minimize false alarms and to resolve range and/or Doppler ambiguities. Under the assumption of a Swerling I target model, the target cross section remains constant when both dwells occur on the same scan and the same transmission frequency is used. Analytic expressions have been developed for the probability of detecting a Swerling I target on both of the correlated dwells (same target cross section). These expressions are used to calculate the probability of a second dwell detection given a first dwell detection and the probability of at least one detection on two dwells. These probabilities are compared with those of independent dwells (independent target cross sections) which result when two transmission frequencies of sufficient separation are utilized.  相似文献

In a decentralized detection scheme, several sensors perform a binary (hard) decision and send the resulting data to a fusion center for the final decision. If each local decision has a constant false alarm rate (CFAR), the final decision is ensured to be CFAR. We consider the case that each local decision is a threshold decision, and the threshold is proportional, through a suitable multiplier, to a linear combination of order statistics (OS) from a reference set (a generalization of the concept of OS thresholding). We address the following problem: given the fusion rule and the relevant system parameters, select each threshold multiplier and the coefficients of each linear combination so as to maximize the overall probability of detection for constrained probability of false alarm. By a Lagrangian maximization approach, we obtain a general solution to this problem and closed-form solutions for the AND and OR fusion logics. A performance assessment is carried on, showing a global superiority of the OR fusion rule in terms of detection probability (for operating conditions matching the design assumptions) and of robustness (when these do not match). We also investigate the effect of the hard quantization performed at the local sensors, by comparing the said performance to those achievable by the same fusion rule in the limiting case of no quantization  相似文献
