A microcomputer matched filter solution is suggested for identifying emergency locator transmitter (ELT) signals from aircraft in distress. A sliding fast Fourier transform (FFT) with adjustable delay covers all permissible ELT sweep rates. The sweep rate for optimum response is retained for signal classification purposes. An additional nonsliding FFT is used to test for the possible presence of monotone modulation in the frequency range of the ELT, and an additional uncorrelated test helps establish a background reference level for positive ELT identiflcation.  相似文献

Search and rescue satellite-aided tracking (SARSAT) relays the emergency locator transmitter (ELT) signals of distressed aircraft to an earth station for spectral analysis. Of considerable importance are the characteristics of the spectrum of the ELT signal since the probability of locating the downed aircraft is closely related to the quality of the ELT signal spectrum itself. In this paper, it is shown that the spectrum can be adversely affected by a number of factors including the phase and frequency characteristics of the carrier and their interaction with the amplitude modulation. Two new models are proposed which greatly reduce the self-generated interference produced by ELT units presently being used.  相似文献

Search and rescue satellite aided tracking (SARSAT) depends on the processing of emergency locator transmitter (ELT) signals which are received by a satellite in low polar orbit. Since the signal from a distressed vehicle is normally immersed in a background of other ELT signals (false alarms), interference, and noise, different methods of spectral estimation can provide advantages in estimating carrier frequency. A comparison between average spectrum and minimum spectrum for several real signals is provided here.  相似文献

由弹体自旋产生的弹载天线的旋转是引起地面测控站多普勒测速误差的一个重要因素.根据线极化信号接收原理,对弹载天线旋转条件下接收的左旋和右旋信号多普勒偏差进行了理论推导和分析.分析结果表明:左/右旋接收信号将产生幅度相等、极性相反的多普勒偏差,多普勒偏差的均值与弹载天线旋转速率在数值上相等,多普勒偏差的方差随着目标视线与天线转轴之间夹角的增大而增大.为验证理论分析结果,开展了天线转台模拟实验,实验测量得到的多普勒偏差的均值和方差与理论分析结果基本一致.最后,根据理论分析和模拟实验结果,提出在实际任务中,可采用左旋和右旋多普勒偏差均值差的一半分别对左/右旋信号的多普勒进行补偿,以减小弹载天线旋转对测速精度的影响.  相似文献

Search and rescue satellite-aided tracking (SARSAT) has certain shortcomings which could possibly be ameliorated by employing a more extensive signal processing strategy. The approach proposed is based on partially compensating for the Doppler shift, which then permits the data processing windows to be increased significantly. Incorporating a ranking technique with the conventional fast Fourier transform (FFT) processor and implementing an autoregressive moving-average estimator provides an optimal strategy that maximizes the probability of detecting the emergency signals  相似文献

A stochastic model of pseudorandom (PR) signals is adopted and a statistical analysis carried out of the velocity (i. e., Doppler) and acceleration tolerances of wide-band PR matched filter sonar systems. The reference functions for these correlation detection systems are considered to be time-compressed or time-expanded replicas of the transmitted signal. Results are derived for the case of a PR signal having a flat power spectral density over a finite bandwidth. It is shown that the velocity and acceleration tolerances are essentially independent of the signal bandwidth and that therefore the radar-derived expressions for the narrow-band tolerances can be extended to the wide-band sonar case. An interesting result is that the derived acceleration tolerance is approximately three times the widely used estimate that is based on the target remaining in the same Doppler channel over the integration time.  相似文献

We consider the problem of detecting a stochastic signal in white not-necessarily-Gaussian noise, using vector valued observations. The locally optimal detector is presented and its performance evaluated. The least-favorable signal spectrum and noise density (over specified classes) are found, and it is shown that the detector using these least-favorable assumptions is minimax robust. The class of spectra is that of any stochastic signal of specified power whose spectrum can be bounded from above and from below by two given positive functions. The class of densities is the ε-contamination model. We present examples of the performance achievable with the robust detector in one of these the spectral uncertainty class corresponds to the unknown Doppler shift of a radar return signal. It is demonstrated that the standard matched-filter's performance degradation with increasing Doppler shift can be avoided almost entirely through use of the robust processor  相似文献

Long-range surveillance radars use MTI techniques to detect moving targets in a clutter background. The transmitter PRF is usually staggered to eliminate the blind speeds due to aliasing of the target and clutter spectra. A spectral analysis of the target and clutter signals is performed for the case of nonuniform sampling, and it is shown that the clutter spectral density continues to fold over at the basic PRF, but the signal spectrum becomes dispersed in frequency, which means that an MTI rader will never be completely blind to moving targets.  相似文献

The bispectral analysis techniques have been applied on signals received from the back-scattered signals by the MST radar. The results of this analysis are compared with that of the conventional power spectral analysis using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) technique. Our results showed that there is a significant advantage in using the bispectral technique over the conventional FFT technique. This study focuses on the importance of bispectral analysis in applications to atmospheric signals.  相似文献

针对高动态、低信噪比的接收信号,首先对整个多普勒频率范围进行分段,并在每一段内利用本地产生的带有多普勒频率变化率的复信号来抵消接收信号中多普勒频率变化率的影响,然后在每一段内利用FFT(FastFourierTransform,快速傅里叶变换)进行载波频率并行捕获,从而同时完成载波多普勒频率及其变化率的初步估计。利用载波多普勒频率及其变化率估计信息辅助锁频环快速入锁,进而利用锁频环辅助三阶锁相环完成载波信号的锁频锁相跟踪。使用这种方法,可以快速获取信号的多普勒频率及其变化率信息,并且在极短时间内完成载波的稳定跟踪,使接收设备具备快速捕获跟踪大动态弱信号的能力。  相似文献

A periodic ambiguity function (PAF) is discussed which describes the response of a correlation receiver to a CW signal modulated by a periodic waveform, when the reference signal in the receiver is constructed from an integral number N, of periods T, of the transmitted signal. The PAF is a generalization of the periodic autocorrelation function, to the case of non-zero Doppler shift. It is shown that the PAF of N periods is obtained by multiplying the PAF of a single period by the universal function sin(Nπν T)/N sin(πνT), where ν is the Doppler shift, to phase-modulated signals which exhibit perfect periodic autocorrelation when there is no Doppler shift. The PAF of these signals exhibits universal cuts along the delay and Doppler axes. These cuts are functions only of t, N and the number M, the modulation bits in one period  相似文献

 针对传统的时域匹配平均周期图算法计算复杂度高的问题,对极低信噪比高动态信号的载波粗捕获算法进行了研究,提出了一种改进的带有补零的频域移位平均周期图算法。该算法采用多速率频域移位运算简化了多支路多普勒变化率匹配,与原算法相比,其计算复杂度降低倍数为匹配支路数与补零倍数之比,捕获性能几乎不损失。给出了算法中影响捕获性能与计算复杂度的关键参数设计方法。在信噪比(SNR)为-41 dB(载噪比C/N0=18 dBHz)、载波多普勒频偏为-300~300 kHz、多普勒变化率为-800~800 Hz/s、码速率为20 bps条件下对两种算法进行了仿真,结果表明在基本满足后级载波跟踪需求条件下,即频偏精度均达±12 Hz时,多普勒变化率精度均达±25 Hz/s,捕获概率都在90%以上时,改进算法捕获时间比原算法增加了8%,计算复杂度降低了70%。  相似文献

The efficacy of linear prediction spectrum analysis (LPSA) (also called autoregressive or maximum entrophy spectrum analysis) for problems concerning narrowband signals in noise is examined by means of Monte Carlo simulation. For the case of pure tones (sinusoids) in white noise, both frequency estimation accuracy and resolution of two closely spaced tones with the linear prediction approach are discussed. In addition, estimation of the carrier frequency of a narrowband random (fading) Gaussian signal in noise is considered. The results are compared with standard fast Fourier transform (FFT) methods. These comparisons indicate that there is no significant advantage to using the linear prediction approach with real (bandpass) data. It is concluded that these experiments should be repeated with complex (baseband) data before a complete assessment of the LPS approach can be made.  相似文献

Doppler properties of the Frank polyphase code and the recently derived P1, P2, P3, and P4 polyphase codes are investigated and compared. An approximate 4 dB cyclic variation of the peak compressed signal is shown to occur as the Doppler frequency increases. The troughs in the peak-signal response occur whenever the total phase shift across the uncompressed pulse, due to Doppler, is an odd multiple of ? radians. It is shown that while the P3 and P4 codes have larger zero-Doppler peak sidelobes than the other codes, the P3 and P4 codes degrade less as the Doppler frequency increases. Also, the effects of amplitude weighting and receiver bandlimiting for both zero and nonzero Doppler are investigated.  相似文献

研究了GPS软件接收机的捕获与跟踪算法。分析了时域串行滑动相关捕获算法和频域基于FFT的并行相关捕获算法,设计了适合GPS软件接收机的并行算法,实现了对空中可见卫星的捕获。针对GPS信号的特点,设计了基于DLL与PLL相结合方法的GPS跟踪算法。利用实测中频信号对上述捕获与跟踪算法进行了验证分析,测试结果表明,基于FFT的并行相关捕获算法能够有效增强软件接收机的捕获能力,采用DLL与PLL相结合的方法能够实现对GPS信号的有效跟踪。  相似文献

A process for the identification of emergency locator transmitter (ELT) signals related to search and rescue satellite-aided tracking (SARSAT) is presented. The ELT identification process is particularly important in order to increase the probability of detection and eliminate sources of interference from the data set. An algorithm for velocity ambiguity resolution in coherent pulsed Doppler radar using multiple pulse repetition frequencies (PRF) is presented. It relies on the choice of particular values for the PRFs. The folded frequency of the target signal is obtained by averaging the folded frequency estimates for each PRF, and a quasi maximum likelihood criterion is maximized for ambiguity order estimation. The fast implementation of this nonambiguous estimation procedure is based on the fast Fourier transform (FFT), The proposed waveform allows full exploitation of any (even) number of PRFs, which appears to be important for estimation improvement. The effects of the waveform parameters and the folded frequency estimation variance on the performance of the ambiguity order estimation procedure are evaluated theoretically and through computer simulations. Mean square error (MSE) curves are given to assess the Doppler frequency estimation accuracy. Finally, the new method is compared with a classical technique and the implementation of the algorithm in a clutter environment is addressed.  相似文献

The power spectral density of the intermediate frequency signal in a coherent Doppler navigation radar is derived. The effects of antenna parameters, periodic frequency instabilities, signal two-way transit time, and transmitter frequency modulation noise are considered Several examples based on the measured frequency modulation noise of a solid-state source transmitter are presented. The results indicate the degree of loss in signal-to-noise ratio, and spectrum broadening due to an increase in signal transit time and/or frequency modulation noise.  相似文献

This research is concerned with multidimensional signal processing and image formation with FOliage PENetrating (FOPEN) airborne radar data which were collected by a Navy P-3 ultra wideband (UWB) radar in 1995. The digital signal processors that were developed for the P-3 data commonly used a radar beamwidth angle that was limited to 35 deg. Provided that the P-3 radar beamwidth angle (after slow-time FIR filtering and 6:1 decimation) was 35 deg, the P-3 signal aperture radar (SAR) system would approximately yield alias-free data in the slow-time Doppler domain. We provide an analysis here of the slow-time Doppler properties of the P-3 SAR system. This study indicates that the P-3 database possesses a 50 deg beamwidth angle within the entire [215, 730] MHz band of the P-3 radar. We show that the 50-degree beamwidth limit is imposed by the radar (radial) range swath gate; a larger beamwidth measurements would be possible with a larger range swath gate. The 50-degree beamwidth of the P-3 system results in slow-time Doppler aliasing within the frequency band of [444, 730] MHz. We outline a slow-time processing of the P-3 data to minimize the Doppler aliasing. The images which are formed via this method are shown to be superior in quality to the images which are formed via the conventional P-3 processor. In the presentation, we also introduce a method for converting the P-3 deramped (range-compressed) data into its alias-free baseband echoed data; the utility of this conversion for suppressing radio frequency interference signals is shown  相似文献
