The problem of a spacecraft orbiting the Neptune–Triton system is presented. The new ingredients in this restricted three body problem are the Neptune oblateness and the high inclined and retrograde motion of Triton. First we present some interesting simulations showing the role played by the oblateness on a Neptune’s satellite, disturbed by Triton. We also give an extensive numerical exploration in the case when the spacecraft orbits Triton, considering Sun, Neptune and its planetary oblateness as disturbers. In the plane a × I (a = semi-major axis, I = inclination), we give a plot of the stable regions where the massless body can survive for thousand of years. Retrograde and direct orbits were considered and as usual, the region of stability is much more significant for the case of direct orbit of the spacecraft (Triton’s orbit is retrograde). Next we explore the dynamics in a vicinity of the Lagrangian points. The Birkhoff normalization is constructed around L2, followed by its reduction to the center manifold. In this reduced dynamics, a convenient Poincaré section shows the interplay of the Lyapunov and halo periodic orbits, Lissajous and quasi-halo tori as well as the stable and unstable manifolds of the planar Lyapunov orbit. To show the effect of the oblateness, the planar Lyapunov family emanating from the Lagrangian points and three-dimensional halo orbits are obtained by the numerical continuation method.  相似文献

A unique method of determining a satellite's antenna direction error, which includes the effects of sensor-errors, reflector thermal distortion, etc., was developed. The principle of the method is to apply a nonlinear least squares method to variations in signal strength received simultaneously at various ground stations to obtain the movement of a premeasured antenna gain pattern. Applying this method to the Japanese medium-scale broadcast satellite for experimental purposes, the system's capability and usefulness were confirmed.  相似文献

Nighttime medium-scale traveling ionospheric disturbances (MSTIDs), which have tilted frontal structures in the midlatitude ionosphere, are investigated by the midlatitude ionosphere electrodynamics coupling (MIECO) model in this study. It has been proposed that the electrodynamic coupling between the E and F regions plays an important role in generating MSTIDs within a few hours. An intriguing aspect of MSTIDs is that they were simultaneously observed at magnetic conjugate locations in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. In order to study the hemisphere-coupled electrodynamics, the MIECO model has been upgraded to consist of two simulation domains for both hemispheres in which the electrostatic potential is solved by considering electrodynamics in both hemispheres. The simultaneous occurrence of MSTIDs at the magnetic conjugate stations has clearly been reproduced when the F-region neutral wind satisfies the unstable condition in both hemispheres and a sporadic-E layer is given only at the Northern (summer) Hemisphere. Even if the unstable condition is satisfied in the summer hemisphere, an unfavorable F-region neutral wind in the winter hemisphere largely suppresses the growth of MSTIDs in both hemispheres.  相似文献

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) launched its own first manned experiment facility in space called the KIBO (Japanese Experiment Module, JEM) in 2008 and 2009 and started operations as part of International Space Station (ISS). To accomplish this Operation, JAXA made its own ground facility in Tsukuba, Japan, called Space Station Integration and Promotion Center (SSIPC). Ground personnel at SSIPC called the JEM Flight Control Team (JFCT) operate the KIBO and have learnt many lessons during its operation. In this presentation, some topics are chosen and explained such as (1) crew/ground personnel interaction and (2) planning lessons learned for manned space activities.  相似文献

Magnetic reconnection coupled with anisotropic nonlinear heat conduction is studied by using an MHD simulation. Due to the heat conduction effect, the adiabatic slow-mode MHD shocks emanating from the neutral point are dissociated into conduction fronts and isothermal shocks.  相似文献

We report a Nobeyama Radioheliograph (NoRH) microwave observation of a propagating feature of non thermal emission in a solar flare. The flare had a very extended source well resolved by NoRH. In the rising phase of the microwave burst, a non-thermal gyrosynchrotron source was observed by the high-rate (10 images per second) observations to propagate from one end of the loop to the other with a speed of 9 × 104 km s−1. We interpret this non-thermal propagating source is emitted from streaming electrons.  相似文献

This paper provides a useful new method to determine minimum and maximum range of values for the degree and order of the geopotential coefficients required for simulations of orbits of satellites around the Earth. The method consists in a time integration of the perturbing acceleration coming from each harmonic of the geopotential during a time interval T. More precisely, this integral represents the total velocity contribution of a specific harmonic during the period T  . Therefore, for a pre-fixed minimum contribution, for instance 1×10-81×10-8 m/s during the period of time T, any harmonic whose contribution is below this value can, safely, be neglected. This fact includes some constraints in the degree and order of the terms which are present in the geopotential formula, saving computational efforts compared to the integration of the full model. The advantage of this method is the consideration of other perturbations in the dynamics (we consider the perturbations of the Sun, the Moon, and the direct solar radiation pressure with eclipses), since these forces affect the value of the perturbation of the geopotential, because these perturbations depend on the trajectory of the spacecraft, that is dependent on the dynamical model used. In this paper, we work with quasi-circular orbits and we present several simulations showing the bounds for the maximum degree and order (M) that should be used in the geopotential for different situations, e. g., for a satellite near 500 km of altitude (like the GRACE satellites at the beginning of their mission) we found 35?M?19835?M?198 for T=1T=1 day. We analyzed the individual contribution of the second order harmonic (J2J2) and we use its behavior as a parameter to determine the lower limit of the number of terms of the geopotential model. In order to test the accuracy of our truncated model, we calculate the mean squared error between this truncated model and the “full” model, using the CBERS (China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite) satellite in this test.  相似文献

Yohkoh soft X-ray observations have revealed coronal X-ray plasma ejections and jets associated with solar flares. We have studied an X-ray plasma ejection on 1993 November 11 in detail, as a typical example of X-ray plasma ejections (possibly plasmoids expected from the reconnection model). The results are as follows: (1) The shape of the ejected material is a loop before it begins to rise. (2) The ejecta are already heated to 5 – 16 MK before rising. (3) The kinetic energy of the ejecta is smaller than the thermal energy content of the ejecta. (4) The thermal energy of the ejecta is smaller than that of the flare regions. (5) The acceleration occurs during the impulsive phase. These results are compared with the characteristics of X-ray jets, and a possible interpretation (for both plasmoids and jets) based on the magnetic reconnection model is briefly discussed.  相似文献

We examined the relation between the evolutions of the H flare ribbons and the released magnetic energiesat a solar flare which occurred on 2001 April 10. This is the first study to evaluate the released energy quantitatively, based on the magnetic reconnection model, and by using the data obtained with the multi wavelength observation. We measured the, photospheric magnetic field strengths and the separation speeds of the fronts of the H flare ribbon, and compared them the nonthermal behaviors observed in HXRs and microwaves. Those nonthermal radiation sources tell us when and where large energy releases occur. Then, by using the photospheric and chromospheric features, we estimated the released magnetic energy at the flare. The estimated energy release rates at the H kernels associated with the HXR sources are locally large enough to explain the difference between the spatial distribution the H kernels and the HXR sources. Their temporal evolution of the energy release rates also shows peaks corresponding to HXR bursts.  相似文献
