In this paper a linear, closed-form analysis of the buckling behavior of an orthotropic plate with elastic clamping and edge reinforcement under uniform compressive load is presented. This is a typical structural situation found in aerospace engineering for instance as stiffeners in wings or the fuselage. All governing equations are transformed in a dimensionless system using common characteristic quantities to gain good analytical access. The buckling behavior is analyzed and generic buckling diagrams are presented. The solutions show excellent agreement with results from literature and numerical analyses.The minimum bending stiffness of the edge reinforcement needed to withstand buckling is examined and a minimum stiffness criterion is presented. Furthermore an absolute minimum bending stiffness is found which is sufficient to enable the reinforcement to act as a near-rigid support for arbitrarily long plates. These criteria are of interest for optimized lightweight design of stringers and stiffeners.  相似文献

The use of natural features for vision based navigation of an indoor Vertical-Take-Off-and-Landing (VTOL) Micro Aerial Vehicle (MAV) named Air-Quad is presented. Air-Quad is a small four-rotor helicopter developed at the ITE.Such a helicopter needs reliable attitude information. The measurements of the used MEMS gyroscopes and accelerometers are corrupted by strong noise. To be useful, the MEMS sensors have to be part of an integrated navigation system with aiding through complementary sensors like GPS or the computer vision module presented here.In the computer vision module, feature points are detected and tracked through the image sequence. The relative rotation and translation of the camera are estimated using the two-dimensional motion of the feature points.The three-dimensional points in the scene are modeled with the image coordinates of their first sighting and their inverse depths. Only these inverse depths are estimated for the feature points. An efficient sparse bundle adjustment algorithm is used to improve the estimation of the scene structure and the navigation solution.It is shown that the use of the computer vision module greatly improves the navigation solution compared to a solution based only on MEMS sensors.  相似文献

(Instrument Developments for Applications in Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry, Geophysics and Geodesy) The Modular Optoelectronic Multispectral Seanner MOMS-01, a CCD camera using the push-broom scanner principle, is presented in this paper in its flight configuration. This instrument will be the first European-built spaceborne unaging system for remote sensing applications (launch with Shuttle flight No. 7).Follow-on developments of this initial two-channel version are oriented to an extension of capabilities by a panchromatic high-resolution stereoscopic module for thematic mapping and two additional spectral channels in the reflective IR (up to 2.3 μm) offering a high interpretation potential for future earth resources exploration missions. Furthermore the subjects of advanced laser technology studies are introduced: A picosecond pulse laser system for detection of tectonic motions and for geodetic application, a CO laser for ultra precise range rate determination (Earth potential and Geoid) and a laser range finder for intersatellite distance measurements.  相似文献

Abstract

Spatial prepositions, more specifically projective prepositions, such as in front of or behind can be interpreted in different ways. Their interpretation depends on the spatial perspective taken as the basis for determining the reference frame's orientation. In 3 series of placement experiments with German speakers, we examined whether the interpretation of projective prepositions in a motion context is affected by the verb used in a spatial instruction. Results suggest that verb semantics is a factor accounting for previously observed seemingly social-situational differences in the interpretation of projective prepositions. Specifically, the findings indicate that, relative to a car as reference object, the semantic aspect of motion interruption associated with some verbs leads to a higher proportion of deictic interpretations determined by the direction from which one is approaching the car. This verb effect on the interpretation of spatial prepositions can be explained by an activation of the temporal dimension through stop-implying verbs, which is integrated into the spatial situation model of the perceived dynamic scene making the deictic frame of reference more compatible. The experimental evidence also shows that verb semantics can account for previously unexplained cross-linguistic differences, and is related to patterns concerning the prepositional inventory of languages.  相似文献

In light of assessing the habitability of Mars, we examine the impact of the magnetic field on the atmosphere. When there is a magnetic field, the atmosphere is protected from erosion by solar wind. The magnetic field ensures the maintenance of a dense atmosphere, necessary for liquid water to exist on the surface of Mars. We also examine the impact of the rotation of Mars on the magnetic field. When the magnetic field of Mars ceased to exist (about 4 Gyr ago), atmospheric escape induced by solar wind began. We consider scenarios which could ultimately lead to a decrease of atmospheric pressure to the presently observed value of 7 mbar: a much weaker early martian magnetic field, a late onset of the dynamo, and high erosion rates of a denser early atmosphere.  相似文献

This paper presents the application of a rate saturation compensation scheme to the DLR Advanced Technologies Testing Aircraft (ATTAS) and the results of the subsequent flight tests. Details of the design philosophy and the flight tests, termed SAIFE (Saturation Alleviation In-Flight Experiment), which employed the HQDT (Handling Qualities During Tracking) test technique, are presented, as well as pilot flight test reports (PFRs). The rate saturation compensators were designed based on the anti-windup (AW) control philosophy, with the aim to reduce the deleterious effects of rate saturation on the piloted aircraft dynamics, and hence provide an increased flight envelope (operating envelope) for acceptable aircraft handling qualities and reduced PIO (Pilot-in-the-Loop/Pilot-involved Oscillation) tendencies. The achievement of this goal was primarily determined by subjective pilot handling qualities ratings and PIO ratings, and secondly by supporting flight test data. The results show that the compensation scheme greatly reduced the level of rate saturation in all instances (flight conditions), making the aircraft less PIO prone in almost all investigated cases, while exhibiting either unchanged or improved handling qualities. Most notably, the flight tests demonstrated the definite potential for well designed AW compensators to improve the safety and handling qualities of aircraft during rate saturation, with some flight conditions exhibiting dramatic improvements.  相似文献
