The Effect of Jamming on Monopulse Accuracy   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
An expression is applied for the probability density function (pdf) of the monopulse ratio when skin echoes from a passive target are contaminated by interference from a jammer. The analysis is valid for arbitrary signal-to-jam ratio and arbitrary locations of the target and jammer in the beam. For an on-axis skin target and a stand-off jammer at an off-axis location, the "pulling" effect of the jammer and the accuracy of the angle estimate are compared with the approximations currently employed in radar performance analysis. The pdf of the monopulse ratio for large and for small signal-to-jam ratios is presented, showing that the pdf is bimodal at small signal-to-jam ratio.  相似文献

A knowledge base for natural satellites of planets is created. On the basis of observations, new numerical models of motion are constructed for all 96 outer satellites of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. A special database is compiled from all available observational data for natural satellites of planets, as well as a bibliographical database and information system of physical and orbital parameters of planets and satellites. The tools for calculations of ephemerides of all natural satellites (except for the Moon) of planets are developed. They represent the final result of studies and actually incorporate the entire knowledge about dynamics of the satellites of planets. Also developed are special ephemerides in order to observe singular phenomena in the apparent motion of the satellites of planets. A computer environment and the Internet allowed us to concentrate all above-listed options in a single toolkit easily available to any user in the world.  相似文献

Varieties of Average Monopulse Responses to Multiple Targets   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A monopulse receiver exhibits three apparently distinct types of average response when the radar sees two jammers, two passive targets, or one of each. This variety of response types is analyzed and shown to be consistent, i.e., the responses are shown to be special cases of a general formula which applies to two independent targets with uniformly distributed phase difference.  相似文献

The detection probability PD of a radar receiver which postdetection integrates N pulses of an expqnentially correlated signal from a Rayleigh target in thermal noise is determined. At the limiting correlation coefficients, p = 1 and p = 0, the analysis yields, respectively, the well known Swerling case 1 and case 2 formulas. The effect of partial (0 ? p ? 1) correlation is exhibited in a set of curves of PD versus signal-to-noise ratio, X, for various N and p. Additional curves compare the exact fluctuation loss determined from the above analysis with an approximate expression universally employed by radar system engineers.  相似文献

When a radar with amplitude comparison monopulse arithmetic encounters signals from multiple Gaussian sources it will "point" to the centroid of the incident radiation. The probability density function (pdf) of the monopulse ratio when N independent samples of difference and sum signals are processed in a maximum likelihood receiver is derived. For finite jam-to-noise ratio the estimate has a bias which is independent of N. The variance in the estimate does however depend upon N. Central moments of order less than or equal 2N - 2 exist and are given by a simple formula. Plots of the pdf and its bias and variance for various jam-to-noise ratios, locations of the centroid with respect to the boresight direction, and number of samples processed are presented in the accompanying figures.  相似文献

Given the joint probability density function (pdf), pX(xl, ..., xN), of the random variables x1, xN, a new method is developed for determining the pdf of the ratio f(X)lg(X) where f and g are arbitrary functions. The method is then applied to calculate the pdf of x1 lx2 where x1 and x2 are correlated Gaussians with arbitrary means and variances.  相似文献
