Current operational airport surface surveillance systems do not positively identify aircraft as unique targets. Air traffic controllers are instead presented with a primary radar picture showing all traffic on the airport movement area. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is evaluating different types of systems that will add the aircraft's call-sign or flight number to the radar image thereby allowing controllers to positively identify individual aircraft at all times. This paper describes the development, implementation, and testing of the airport surface target identification system (ATIDS), and presents results of initial trials conducted at Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport  相似文献

民用飞机在低能见度的机场跑道滑行时,存在发生跑道入侵的风险。国内外民航史记载了数次因跑道入侵事件导致的飞机在机场地面相撞而机毁人亡的严重事故。近年来,越来越多的人选择飞机作为长途出行的交通工具,使得全球大型国际机场的年吞吐量剧增,导致跑道入侵事件时有发生。各国民用航空管理组织对跑道入侵事件的关注度持续上升,航空公司需要在机上安装一套地面避撞系统,来避免跑道入侵事件的发生。本验证项目基于某大型机场的动态地图建立了一个机载跑道入侵预警系统原型,建立了飞机在机场滑行的平面四向运动模型,设定了不同安全等级的跑道入侵预警算法,定义了多种飞机跑道入侵场景,最终在MATLAB/Simulink和FlightGear中进行二维平面仿真和三维立体仿真,验证了系统解决方案的有效性和算法的正确性。  相似文献

This paper presents an innovative system for airport surface surveillance based on a novel magnetic sensing technology. Ferromagnetic objects such as vehicle motors, aircraft engines, and landing gears are detected through their deformation of the Earth's magnetic field. Tests have shown that although the local changes of the Earth's magnetic field are extremely small, the proposed sensing technology is able to detect them reliably. The primary objective of the proposed approach is to provide a complementary surveillance system for existing and future Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control Systems (A-SMGCS) at large airports or a cost-effective surveillance solution for monitoring critical areas at medium and small airports. Unaffected by weather conditions, interference and shadowing effects, the system provides reliable position, velocity, and direction information without requiring any equipment in aircraft or ground vehicles. The outcome of a comprehensive market analysis is discussed and test results under real life conditions at two airports are evaluated analytically.  相似文献

An airport surveillance function operating on surface movement radar (SMR) images is proposed and evaluated. The main contributions presented are the statistical error models of the target centroid and attributes extracted from radar images, developed and applied to the design of its main data processing blocks. Besides a multihypothesis image-to-tracks assignment method, a tracking filter using the extracted orientation and a classification scheme based on target attributes is detailed. The error models confidence and processing methods performance are demonstrated through simulation in representative scenarios  相似文献

An improved moving target detector (MTD) (a digital signal processor) has been designed, constructed, and tested which successfully rejects all forms of radar clutter while providing reliable detection of all aircraft within the coverage of the radar. The MTD is being tested on both terminal and enroute surveillance radars for the FAA. This processor has been integrated with automatic tracking algorithms to give complete rejection of ground clutter, heavy precipitation, and angels (birds).  相似文献

An air traffic control system is proposed in which 1) all aircraft are equipped wit transponders, 2) FAA radar sites broadcast a digitally coded list of the identity, altitude, and coordinates of aircraft scanned, 3) each aircraft on receiving this list converts it into a PPI display with the blip of that aircraft branded and blips of off-altitude aircraft blanked, and 4) superimposed on this display are projected maps of airways appropriate to the particular radar and the aircraft altitude. This system could provide a fairly complete capability for air traffic control, structuring, navigation, and collision avoidance at a cost of about 3000 dollars per aircraft. It would replace most navigational and communication equipment now in use and could be operational in several years.  相似文献

跑道作为机场的关键设施,是飞机着陆和减速滑行的区域,通过视觉定位方法计算飞机相对跑道的位置,可以作为辅助飞机快速平稳着陆的一种思路。视觉传感器所需成本较低,对安装环境要求不高,本文旨在设计一个仅靠视觉传感器对飞机进行定位的辅助着陆系统,运用目标检测和视觉定位两个模型,计算飞机相对跑道的位置。首先搭建出等比例微缩的机场跑道模型,视觉传感器产生运动模拟飞机飞行路径,目标检测模型通过机载视觉传感器获取的图像识别出跑道区域,随后视觉定位模型提取图像中跑道区域特征点,计算飞机相对跑道的位置。分别对目标检测和视觉定位两部分的实现原理及难点进行阐述,尝试将目标检测和视觉定位结合起来实现飞机降落时的定位,描述辅助着陆系统设计的整体思路。  相似文献

使用二维面对称微下击暴流数值模式,对“湿”微下击暴流风切变进行了模拟,并通过工作在X-波段的微波多普勒雷达,对飞机着陆下滑航迹前方的微下击暴流风切变进行探测。结果表明:通过单元-单元自动增益控制、杂波滤波和天线仰角控制,可提前80s(6km)探测到“湿”微下击暴流风切变,符合FAA提出的适航要求  相似文献

The Global Positioning System (GPS) has been used in many ways which were unimagined by its original planners and implementers. This paper discusses one such application; the surveillance of commercial aircraft in a developing airspace environment. GPS provides system users with the ability to determine their own position with an accuracy, reliability and cost that is unprecedented. Voice procedures augmented by radar have been the primary tools for air traffic surveillance since the end of World War II. But for some countries the equipage of aircraft with GPS and a data link capable of carrying position reports to the ATC authorities is providing a viable alternative to long-range secondary radar systems. In the summer and fail of 1995, ARINC installed and demonstrated equipment in Magadan, Russia which permits air traffic controllers of MagadanAeroControl to monitor GPS position reports generated by aircraft as far away as Canada and the South Pacific. The position reports were displayed against maps and flight tracks. This equipment has clearly demonstrated an alternative technology for the upgrading of the ATC system in Siberia and other remote areas  相似文献

The small aircraft transportation system (SATS) concept envisions doorstop to destination transportation in a safe and timely manner. Data communications are a key component in achieving the aviation-related operational performance improvements that are sought. However, data communication doesn't start when you get into the aircraft; it starts back at the location where the flight is planned. In fact, data communications support the pilot in all phases of the flight: flight planning, pre-flight, departure, en route, transition, approach, landing, and rollout as well as for a missed approach. The Internet is being used to perform flight planning activities, and the mobile communications available today support Internet access en route to the departure airfield. On-board the aircraft, data communications provide surveillance and air traffic control (ATC) support to the pilot. The location of other aircraft is available to the pilot and ATC system through automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) and traffic information service-broadcast (TIS-B) applications that transmit the location of other aircraft in the vicinity. Other aircraft locations are used to forecast potential conflicts and, thus, enhance flight safety. As the aircraft nears a SATS-equipped airfield, the pilot uses data link messages to request a landing sequence. The airport management module (AMM) provides a landing sequence assignment to the aircraft. As the pilot maneuvers the aircraft for a landing, he/she is using data-linked surveillance data to determine the location of other aircraft and maintain a safe separation distance between aircraft even in a low visibility environment.  相似文献

虚拟场景建模是虚拟现实技术中的关键技术之一。为了更真实有效地模拟飞机在机场飞行区运动过程中的特殊视景,在简化模型的基础上,使用实例技术、外部引用和LOD技术几何建模,并进一步举例说明物理建模和运动建模的过程,给出了仿真实现的详细流程。该方法能够使管制员在雷达屏幕上观察飞机的动态及一些特殊情况,并及时解决冲突。利用Creator、Vega及VisualC++6.0,实现了对机场飞行区特殊视景的仿真。结果表明该系统在培训管制员方面起到了很重要的作用,从而减少了特殊事件对飞机产生的影响及在地面的碰撞事故,缓解了管制员的压力。  相似文献

随着航空运输业的迅速发展,交通密度逐渐增大,机场跑滑系统越来越复杂,航空安全问题也随之增多,其中跑道侵入是影响航空安全的重要方面.引起跑道侵入的因素多种多样,本文主要研究人为因素对跑道侵入严重性等级的影响,根据跑道侵入严重等级的划分,利用多重属性风险评估模型对跑道侵入严重性等级进行量化,通过实例计算和对所得数据的分析,表明多重属性风险评估模型可为跑道系统提供通用的跑道侵入风险评估方法,并指出实际工作中存在的问题及预防措施.  相似文献

我国西部地区修建了很多高原机场,飞机在高原机场会出现性能衰减,对飞行安全有影响。为提高高原机场起飞的安全性,首先,在分析影响高原机场飞机起飞性能因素的基础上,从外界环境的变化和飞机故障两个方面研究飞机性能降级对飞机在高原机场起飞的影响。其次,梳理性能降级后飞机在高原机场起飞的风险,总结高原机场起飞风险管控流程。最后,结合高原机场运行实际,制定风险管控措施,研究可知:1)飞机性能降级在高原机场安全起飞的影响更明显;2)当叠加恶劣天气后,会加深飞机性能降级的影响;3)起飞性能计算是解决飞机性能降级的重要措施;4)航空公司应制定完善的风险管控流程和措施,应对飞机性能降级后能在高原机场安全飞起,并根据实际情况持续优化流程和措施;5)做好相关运行控制团队的管理是提高工作效率的重要举措。  相似文献

Aircraft traffic management on the airport surface will require the effective utilization of communications, navigation and surveillance (CNS). This paper describes an experiment which provides a glimpse of future automation. The experiment combines precision surface radar, high-accuracy differential GPS (DGPS) position determination, automatic dependent surveillance (ADS), and ground and airborne automation systems able to intercommunicate via a VHF data link. In particular, this paper describes the air/ground communications provided by the VHF Data Link. Two classes of messages are processed: continual and ad hoc. The former include DGPS corrections, ADS messages and target data. The latter include graphical taxi clearances and hold bar set-reset information. Airfield surveillance utilizing over-the-horizon radar (OTHR) offers the opportunity to gather significant intelligence concerning activity levels at suspect drug smuggling airports. It also provides the potential to classify aircraft initially from observed takeoff data, which would be helpful in interdiction efforts. This paper discusses the radar signal components and signal processing techniques required to accomplish this capability. An actual takeoff, observed by SRI International's Wide Aperture Research Facility (WARF), illustrates how the range-Doppler display plays an important role in developing and automating this capability. The ultimate capability is automatic takeoff recognition, initial target classification, rate of climb indication, and track to destination-all important contributions to the counterdrug command, control, and interdiction team  相似文献

未来空域密度日趋增大,需要先进的场面移动目标引导和控制系统技术来提高机场运行效率,降低事故率。文章瞄准航空系统组块升级机场场面运行下的民机驾驶舱场面引导功能,首先描述机场场面运行的总体概念,对场面引导的数据交互和机载功能架构进行分析;然后基于所梳理的显示控制功能清单,设计场面引导的人机界面,完成从顶至下的民机驾驶舱场面引导功能的初步设计过程;最后经过CSUQ、QUIS、界面综合评价量表3 份问卷的评估及焦点小组讨论,证明该界面设计合理,具备实用性。  相似文献

分析了在程序管制条件下,不同进近程序模式(直线进近或推测航迹程序、基线转弯程序、直角航线进近)影响飞行间隔的因素,并在此基础上,建立起进近程序模式、机型比例及飞机速度与飞行容量关系的数学模型,从而达到量化机场飞行容量的目的。为终端区的容量管理提供理论依据。最后以一个机场的进近程序为例,计算出其小时最大容量限制。  相似文献
