The low temperature charge and discharge characteristics of experimental MCMB-Li/sub x/Ni/sub y/Co/sub 1-y/O/sub 2/ cells containing different electrolytes were investigated. The use of low ethylene carbonate (EC)-content electrolyte formulations has resulted in good discharge performance to temperatures as low as -40/spl deg/C. The effect of charge voltage and charge current upon the individual electrode potentials at low temperature was investigated using the three electrode cells (containing lithium reference electrodes). In some cases, lithium plating was observed to occur upon low temperature charge, and found to be facilitated by high charge voltages, high charge currents, and poor anode kinetics. Electrochemical characterization of the cells has helped to establish the conditions under which lithium plating can occur by providing information regarding the polarization effects present at each electrode.  相似文献

A four-element phased array antenna prototype with varactor tuning has been constructed. The design employs aperture-fed quarter-wave patch elements and loaded-line phase shifters, having a phase adjustment range of about 50/spl deg/, which enables beam steering up to 13/spl deg/ from the array boresight. The system is suitable as a building block for larger arrays and shows as such a maximum gain of 7.7 dBi and an impedance bandwidth of 1 GHz. The sidelobe level is better than -13 dB. Problems encountered include parasitic resonances which disturb matching, and partially deteriorate the radiation pattern. Additionally, mechanical manufacturing tolerances of the microstrip boards were not always adequate, whereby a 6% shift in the center frequency, some impedance errors, and phasing inaccuracies were observed.  相似文献

Eagle-Picher Energy Products (EPEP) has been manufacturing and testing large lithium ion cells (up to 100-Ah) for several years. Recently, work has focused on the testing of different chemistries at variable temperatures and designing and fabricating 100-Ah cylindrical cells. For the aircraft application the largest concern is irreversible capacity loss at elevated temperatures (70°C). In contrast, for the aerospace application shelf-life and cycle life are critical. EPEP has found that the major contributor to the loss in low temperature performance due to high temperature testing, was the positive electrode. Nickel cadmium cells have almost doubled in capacity since 1980 after being stagnated in performance for twenty years. Nickel metal hydride cells, introduced in 1992, have shown a 170 percent increase in energy density to be competitive on a volume basis with lithium ion. Other characteristics, such as charge retention, charge rate, high temperature operation, and rate capability have also advanced with improvements in materials and constructions. 对6单元瓦状塞式喷管、6单元圆转方内喷管塞式喷管和1单元直排塞式喷管进行了实验和数值模拟研究.实验表明,3个塞式喷管具有良好的高度补偿特性和较高的效率,6单元瓦状塞式喷管和1单元直排塞式喷管在设计高度的效率接近100%;由于内喷管型面不够理想和加工时存在的缺陷,6单元圆转方内喷管塞式喷管的设计点效率在95%左右.数值模拟结果与实验数据吻合较好,结合实验和数值模拟分析了外界反压对气流,进而对底部气动特性的影响.实验研究了底部二次流流量变化对性能的影响.  相似文献

The problem of the optimal number of phased array faces for performing 360/spl deg/ horizon surveillance is considered. Assuming the detection performance is the same in all beam positions and the total number of T/R modules is constant, it is shown that the optimal number of array faces is three. This is true whether the arrays are operating simultaneously or sequentially. A parametric analysis is performed between the number of array faces operating simultaneously and the associated cost of simultaneous operation in terms of the size of the array.  相似文献

Necessary and sufficient conditions are derived for the existence of a solution to the continuous-time and discrete-time reduced-order H/sub /spl infin// and L/sub 2/-L/sub /spl infin// filtering problems. These conditions are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and a coupling nonconvex matrix rank constraint. Convex LMI problems are obtained for the full-order and the zeroth-order filtering. An explicit parametrization of all reduced-order filters that correspond to a feasible solution is derived in terms of a contractive matrix, and iterative algorithms are proposed to solve the reduced-order filtering problems using alternating projections.  相似文献

This paper presents a three-phase (3/spl phi/) switch-mode rectifier (SMR) consisting of three 1 /spl phi/ SMRs, two center-tapped autotransformers and three changeover switches. The ac input sides of three modules are /spl Delta/-connected, and their dc output sides are connected in parallel. As any one module fault occurs, the remaining two modules becomes modified T-connected and continuously perform three-phase rectification with good line drawn power quality. When two constituted 1/spl phi/ modules are faulted, the proposed 3/spl phi/ SMR will be operated as 1/spl phi/ SMR. The quantitative and robust voltage regulation controls for the developed SMR are made to consider the effects of changes of system parameters, operating condition, and number of connected modules.  相似文献

采用硬度法测定了一种新型Al-Zn-Mg-Cu合金挤压带板的GP区临界形核温度TV(GP区在此温度下形核不依靠空位浓度)和TC(GP区在此温度以上不能形核)。他们的温度区间分别为130~140℃和170~180℃。依据实验结果确定了合金的一级时效温度为120℃,二级时效温度为165℃。合金在120℃/4h+165℃/8h制度下热处理后,L向的抗拉强度、屈服强度、伸长率、断裂韧度和电导率分别为617MPa,590MPa,13.5%,41.6MPa m1/2和39.1%IACS,是一种综合性能优良的双级时效600MPa级铝合金。  相似文献

利用HT-1000型高温摩擦磨损试验机研究了石墨M210密封材料高温下摩擦磨损性能,采用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)观察分析了磨损表面形貌.基于试验数据,通过灰色理论GM(1,1)建立了摩擦因数和磨损率预测模型.结果表明:石墨M210密封材料摩擦因数呈先增大再减小,而后趋于一稳定值,试验温度为450℃时,摩擦因数最小;磨损率随着试验温度升高而增大.试验温度在低于300℃,磨损表面具有明显的黏着、撕裂和无序的塑流动痕迹,高于400℃时,塑流动痕迹具有明显的方向性,出现了剥落和断裂痕迹.温度较低时,石墨材料表面主要是水汽物理吸附膜起润滑作用,随着试验温度升高,由物理吸附膜润滑逐渐转向反应膜润滑.基于试验数据建立了精度等级均为1级的摩擦因数和磨损率的预测模型.   相似文献

对碳/碳复合材料在不同温度下的导热性能进行了研究。研究发现了碳/碳复合材料的导热机理介于金属材料和非金属材料之间,既有声子导热,又有电子导热。在实验温度范围内,导热系数随温度升高而增大。随碳/碳复合材料石墨化程度的增大,晶体微观结构渐趋完整,石墨片层的有序度增加,材料的导热性能增强。对于高密度的碳/碳复合材料,因为晶粒间联通状态良好,热传导载体运动的路径畅通,所以导热系数高。碳纤维及围绕纤维生长的热解碳是热传导的有效通道,所以沿纤维增强方向的导热系数高。  相似文献

UWB radar has evolved in the fifteen years since DARPA proposed the present frequency-based definition. We suggest the UWB radar definition should reflect the physical features and practical applications. A mechanically rechargeable zinc-air battery that has high power density and fast refueling capability is described. The battery is built from modules of 32 or 44 cells connected in series, and the modules can be arranged in any combination of series and parallel connections, and in practical quantity, according to the requirements of the vehicle, motor, and controller. A modification to the Costas signal is suggested. It involves an increase of the frequency separation /spl Delta/f beyond the inverse of the subpulse duration t/sub b/ combined with adding linear FM (LFM) with bandwidth B, in each subpulse. Hybrid fuel cell/battery power sources have potentially widespread uses in applications wherein the power demand is impulsive rather than constant. Interposing a dc/dc converter between a fuel cell and a battery can create two configurations of actively controlled hybrid fuel cell/battery power sources. Those two configurations are compared using both theory and experiment with special attention to the peak power enhancement, and power losses in the converter. Both of the defined configurations were built, using a 35 W polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell, an 8-cell lithium-ion battery pack, and a high-efficiency power converter. Both two configurations yielded a peak power output of 135 W, about 4 times as high as the fuel cell alone could supply, with only a slight (13%) increase of weight. The converter losses were quantitatively analyzed. Which of the two configurations yields a smaller loss depends on the load power demand characteristics including peak power and load duty ratio. The study results provide guidance for the design of hybrid sources according to the particular load power requirements.  相似文献

在细观尺度下,基于逐渐损伤理论,建立了一种三维四向C/C复合材料高温强度预测模型。模型考虑了纤维束挤压后的截面形状、单胞的周期性以及纤维束和基体的脱黏等因素,引入考虑温度的三维Hashin失效准则进行单元的失效判定,预测了三维四向C/C复合材料室温和有防氧化保护700 ℃的拉伸强度。为了将模型发展到高温氧化环境,建立了考虑氧化速率的纤维束高温氧化环境力学性能退化模型,结合纤维束和单向板力学性能等价性原理,实现了无防氧化保护下三维四向C/C复合材料700 ℃拉伸强度的预测。研究了切边加工对三维四向复合材料强度的影响,建立了考虑切边宽度的切边三维四向复合材料强度预测模型,预测了有、无防氧化保护切边宽度为18 mm的三维四向C/C复合材料拉伸强度。结果表明:对非切边试验件在室温、有防氧化涂层700 ℃和无防氧化涂层700 ℃的预测误差分别为5.51%、7.20%和7.13%,拉伸过程的应力-应变曲线与试验结果吻合度较好;对切边试验件在室温和有防氧化涂层700 ℃的预测误差分别为0.88%和4.53%。多种类的算例表明预测模型合理、可靠。   相似文献

Initial attitude acquisition by a modern star tracker is investigated here. Criteria for efficient organization of the on-board database are discussed with reference to a brightness-independent initial acquisition algorithm. Star catalog generation preprocessing is described, with emphasis on the identification of minimum star brightness for detection by a sensor based on a charge coupled device (CCD) photodetector. This is a crucial step for proper evaluation of the attainable sky coverage when selecting the stars to be included in the on-board catalog. Test results are also reported, both for reliability and accuracy, even if the former is considered to be the primary target. Probability of erroneous solution is 0.2% in the case of single runs of the procedure, while attitude determination accuracy is in the order of 0.02/spl deg/ in the average for the computation of the inertial pointing of the boresight axis.  相似文献

The generalized tree-like transmission line network system having n layers in total with m-to-1 branch connection at each joint (T-TLNS-n-m) is proposed to replace the traditional series-parallel combined dc networks to automatically accumulate identically distributed power cells into the large amount of useful power for the spacecrafts. The proposed system has the attractive features of simple structure, easy construction and maintenance, and low cost, because two kinds of parts, ac current sources and m-to-1 transmission line (TL) branch connection parts, are used in the whole system. A method of implementing ac current cells having high output impedance is proposed to improve the power collection efficiency of the whole network system. Simulated results show that that low-pass nominal /spl pi/- or T-circuit with high characteristic impedance, which is used for the voltage source to current source converter in the current cell, improves the efficiency of the voltage inverter, filters out the harmonics, and increases the output impedance of the whole current cell.  相似文献

Lincoln Laboratory is investigating the detection and classification of stationary ground targets using high resolution, fully polarimetric, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery. A study is summarized in which data collected by the Lincoln Laboratory 33 GHz SAR were used to perform a comprehensive comparison of automatic target recognition (ATR) performance for several polarization/resolution combinations. The Lincoln Laboratory baseline ATR algorithm suite was used, and was optimized for each polarization/resolution case. Both the HH polarization alone and the optimal combination of HH, HV, and VV were evaluated; the resolutions evaluated were 1 ft/spl times/1 ft and 1 m/spl times/1 m. The data set used for this study contained approximately 74 km/sup 2/ of clutter (56 km/sup 2/ of mixed clutter plus 18 km/sup 2/ of highly cultural clutter) and 136 tactical target images (divided equally between tanks and howitzers).  相似文献
