Among the X-ray/Be systems, A 0535 + 26/HDE 245770 has been noted, since its discovery, for its peculiar features in several respects, in a wide energy range. For this reason and for a series of concomitant favorable causes, this system has been one of the most studied among the massive X-ray binary systems. The most remarkable incident was that its optical identification with an early-type-emission-line star (O9.7IIIe) has led to a deep studies on Be stars and their interactions with neutron stars, which have allowed to discover, without unbiguity, the presence of optical indicators of consequent X-ray flares, as well as that Be stars in X-ray/Be systems behave just as normal Be stars. Overmore, thanks to the multifrequency coordinated observations of this system, the X-ray emissions from binary companion of the Be stars are best explained by assuming the presence of a thick equatorial disk with low expansion velocity and a thin polar region with high expansion velocity. This picture reconciled the strong discrepancy in mass loss rate evaluations coming from IR and from UV measurements, assuming that the observed regions are enterely distinct from each other, one being a high-density, low-velocity region, and the other being a low-density, very hot, rapidly-expanding disk-like zone.Since, this picture seems to be the best up-to-date frame to cuckold all the experimental panorama available on X-ray/Be systems, we would like to paint in this paper the multifrequency behaviour of A 0535 + 26/HDE 245770, which is the best studied among such systems, in order to stimulate future coordinated experimental-theoretical works on this very interesting class of objects.  相似文献

Photoelectric WBVR observations of Be star HDE 245770=V 725 Tau, the optical counterpart of the transient X-ray pulsar A0535+26, having a pulse period of about 104 s, were conducted for more than 10 years. An irregular long-term optical variability of the star with amplitudes of the order of a few tenths of magnitude was found to be a usual phenomenon. In some cases rapid changes of the star's optical luminosity with a characteristic period of a few tens of minutes or a few hours, and an amplitude of several hundredths of magnitude in all the spectral bands used, which have practically coincided or correlated with the X-ray pulsar outbursts detected by X-ray satellites, were observed.Photoelectric recording of the optical flux from HDE 245770 were made in 1981–1982 with a time resolution of 1 second and 10 s, respectively, in theR spectral band (0 7000 Å) and in the narrowH -emission-line band (1/2 75 Å) using a 48-cm reflector of High-Mountain Tien-Shan observatory of the Sternberg Astronomical Institute near Alma-Ata. An analysis of autocorrelation functions of the flux changes from object under study and a comparison with the star BD+26° 876 indicated the variability of luminosity of V 725 Tau in theR spectral band on a time scale of a few tens of second; this variability resembles shot noise with a characteristic time of stochastic bursts of about 15–20 s and their amplitudes of about a few tenths of a percent. InH -emission-line radiation autocorrelation functions and power spectra show quasiperiodic variability of luminosity of HDE 245770 with a characteristic period of about 100–150 s and an amplitude in the neighbour-hood of 0.5%. The latter result is not quite reliable because of not quite fine weather conditions during the observations; independent observations and check-up are required.  相似文献

The cataclysmic variable EX Hydrae has been observed in X-rays with Einstein Observatory. A 67 min periodic X-ray modulation has been found in the energy range. 1 – 2 keV, whereas the source is approximately constant above 2 keV. The modulation is approx. in phase with the stable 47 min modulation in the optical brightness. The X-ray spectrum changes slightly with the 67 min phase but is consistent with a two component model with constant temperature only changing in relative intensity. Quasi-simultaneous optical observations were also obtained and used to extend the time base of the optical modulation. The result is indicative of a decrease in the 67 min period on a time scale of 3 106 yr. The implications for the hypothesis of a non-uniform rotating white dwarf as the origin of the 67 min optical and X-ray modulation are discussed.  相似文献

Among discrete galactic X-ray sources, Cyg X-1 has been noted for its peculiar features in several respects. It is one of the few sources with a hard power law spectrum extending beyond several hundred keV. Cyg X-1 also distinguishes itself by its profound time variability over a wide range of time scales. The most remarkable incident was that its optical identification with a spectroscopic binary HDE226868 has led to a presumption that it is a black hole. This possibility has induced continuous interests in the physical character of this source in conjunction with the nature of the black hole. The purpose of this paper is to summarize presently available pieces of knowledge on this source to help the design of future experimental and theoretical works, while the complexity of the source characteristics still has prevented us to construct a clear, coherent picture of this source in spite of the fact that numerous observational facts have been accumulated.  相似文献

We present optical spectroscopy and photometry and IUE spectroscopy of the counterpart of the LMC recurrent X-ray transient A0538-66 during an outburst at the end of December 1980 which was consistent with the 16.6 day X-ray period (Skinner, 1980). The optical spectra show steadily increasing Balmer and HeI emission (indicative of a shell phase) superposed on a B2 IV spectrum with a substantial brightness increase of 2m and the sharp turn-on of HeII 686 at the peak. Significant radial velocity changes have been detected but they show no correlation with the 16.6 day period. IUE spectra during a subsequent outburst show very strong and broad (5000 km s–1) emission from C IV 1550 and HeII 1640. This behaviour is compared with other galactic transients and shell/Be stars.  相似文献

Sco X-1     
The physical properties of X-ray, optical and radio emissions from Sco X-1 are reviewed. Sco X-1 is a typical X-ray source which has an optically thick hot plasma. The observational spectra of X-ray and optical emissions are consistent with theoretical ones from the hot plasma, but the radio emission shows a non-thermal feature. The restrictive conditions for the model of Sco X-1 are discussed from the observational facts. In spite of numerous observational facts on Sco X-1 further detailed and elaborate studies are necessary to understand this object and general compact X-ray sources comprehensively.  相似文献

A NLTE-analysis is presented of high S/N spectra of the optical component of the standard massive X-ray binary Vela X-1. In combination with the orbital parameters we conclude that the optical star is highly helium enriched and is significantly overluminous compared to standard evolutionary tracks of massive accretion stars. Hot white dwarfs are objects that copiously emit in the Extreme Ultraviolet and soft X-ray range. They are the brightest sources seen in the Low Energy Telescope of EXOSAT, with countrates up to 25 cnts/s. in contrast to their optical and UV spectrum the total flux and spectral distribution at soft X-ray energies are highly sensitive to the effective temperature, structure and elemental composition of the dwarf's atmosphere. The imaging soft X-ray experiments onboard EXOSAT cover with large sensitivity the spectral region where the peak of emission of hot white dwarfs is expected to occur.I here review some of the (preliminary) results obtained so far with broadband X-ray photometry on a dozen or so white dwarfs, and some of the high-resolution spectra obtained for three white dwarfs with the grating spectrometers.  相似文献

We report new results obtained from the EXOSAT AO- 1 observation of the intermediate polar V1223 Sgr. The detection of a 12.4 minute period in the medium energy X-ray flux with an associated hardness ratio variation has been previously reported in Osborne et al. (1984a). Further work has revealed: a narrow dip at the phase zero in the folded medium energy light curve; 30% modulation in the low energy X-ray (3000 Lexan) flux; a count rate ratio from 3 filters which allow the presence of a bright low temperature blackbody component (kT = .05 –. 40 KeV); and a phase resolved ME spectrum which must have two or more components when the source is bright. Optical spectra of large flare loops were detected by the Ondejov Multichannel Flare Spectrograph (MFS) during coordinated observations with MSDP at Pic du Midi (H) and the soft X-ray telescope (SXT) on Yohkoh. The CCD video images taken by the MFS slit-jaw camera document the time-development of the flare loops as seen through the H filter. Preliminary analysis of the MSDP images shows the intensity structure of the cool flare loops and their velocity fields. From the spectra we can clearly see the intensity variations along the cool loops. SXT images show the structure of hot X-ray loops similar to that of cool loops. Special attention is devoted to the bright tops, simultaneously observed in X-rays, H and other optical lines. Based on a preliminary analysis of the optical spectra, we speculate about possible mechanisms leading to an observed bright emission at the tops of cool loops. We suggest that direct soft X-ray irradiation of cool loops at their tops could be, at least partly, responsible for such a strong brightening.  相似文献

The TiO2-Co-TiO2 sandwich films were successfully grown on glass and silicon substrata making alternate use of radio frequency reactive magnetron sputtering and direct current magnetron sputtering. The structures and properties of these films were identified with X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectra and X-ray photoemission spectra (XPS). It is shown that the sandwich film consists of two anatase TiO2 films with an embedded Co nano-film. The fact that, when the Co nano-film thickens, varied red shifts appear in optical absorption spectra may well be explained by the quantum confinement and tunnel effects. As for magnetic properties, the saturation magnetization, remnant magnetic induction and coercivity vary with the thickness of the Co nano-films. Moreover, the Co nano-film has a critical thickness of about 8.6 nm, which makes the coercivity of the composite film reach the maximum of about 1413 Oe.  相似文献

We report results from EXOSAT observations of the intermediate polar system 2A0526-328 (TV Col). The hard X-ray emission (2–8 keV) is modulated with a period of 1943 s, interpreted as the white-dwarf rotation period. Soft and hard X-ray emission show intensity minima, in phase with the orbital period of 0.2286 days; analysis of the hard X-ray spectra shows that these minima are caused by an extra low-energy absorption corresponding to a H column density of 4 × 1022 cm-2.  相似文献

以十二烷基硫酸钠(SDS)作乳化剂,不同链长的脂肪烃或脂肪醇作共乳化剂,分别用搅拌和超声乳化方法制备一系列苯乙烯(St)/丙烯酸丁酯(BA)细乳液,测定细乳液稳定性的结构表明,SDS/十六烷(HDE)的乳化效果最佳,HDE先与单体混合结构超声波制备的细乳液最稳定,乳化剂,共乳化剂的种类和沈度,乳化温度,超声时间等对细乳液的稳定性均有影响。  相似文献

聚焦型X射线脉冲星望远镜(XPT)是涉及光学、机械学、热学等多学科的复杂航天载荷,多物理场耦合分析对提高其在轨性能和可靠性至关重要。传统的光机热多场耦合分析(MCA)方法并不能考虑X射线能量及其反射率信息,而且存在学科间数据传递困难的问题。为此,首先基于Monte Carlo和X射线全反射理论提出了一种高效的多物理场耦合分析方法。该方法同时考虑X射线能量和反射率两大特征信息,基于有限元分析(FEA)法建立了XPT热-结构物理场耦合方程和有限元分析模型,针对不同工况进行热分析、结构分析以及热-结构物理场耦合分析。其次,采用Construction Geometry函数分别提取不同工况下光学镜头面形的形变量,并基于多项式函数对变形后的镜头面形进行拟合和误差分析。然后,基于所提方法对变形后的光学系统聚焦性能进行分析与评价,得到镜头形变对XPT光学聚焦性能的影响规律。最后,以多层嵌套的XPT为例,对不同视场角和形变的X射线光学系统聚焦性能进行了仿真分析。结果表明,在全视场时热-结构耦合形变、热形变及结构形变导致XPT聚焦性能分别下降30.01%,14.35%和7.85%,弥散斑均方根依次为2.9143 mm,2.6038 mm,2.5311 mm。通过与试验结果对比分析,验证了所提方法的有效性,可用于XPT的可靠性设计。  相似文献

The Polar Ionospheric X-ray Imaging Experiment (PIXIE) is an X-ray multiple-pinhole camera designed to image simultaneously an entire auroral region from high altitudes. It will be mounted on the despun platform of the POLAR spacecraft and will measure the spatial distribution and temporal variation of auroral X-ray emissions in the 2 to 60 keV energy range on the day side of the Earth as well as the night. PIXIE consists of two pinhole cameras integrated into one assembly, each equipped with an adjustable aperture plate that allows an optimum number of nonoverlapping images to be formed in the detector plane at each phase of the satellite's eccentric orbit. The aperture plates also allow the pinhole size to be adjusted so that the experimenter can trade off spatial resolution against instrument sensitivity. In the principal mode of operation, one aperture plate will be positioned for high spatial resolution and the other for high sensitivity. The detectors consist of four stacked multiwire position-sensitive proportional counters, two in each of two separate gas chambers. The front chamber operates in the 2–12 keV energy range and the rear chamber in the 10–60 keV range. All of the energy and position information for each telemetered X-ray event is available on the ground. This enables the experimenter to adjust the exposure timepostfacto so that energy spectra of each X-ray emitting region can be independently accumulated. From these data PIXIE will provide, for the first time, global images of precipitated energetic electron spectra, energy inputs, ionospheric electron densities, and upper atmospheric conductivities.  相似文献

Observations carried out in the Hα line, flare spectra, and the methods of analysing the flare spectra are briefly discussed. The general picture that emerged by the end of 1990s from a large set of optical and X-ray, spectral and timing data was that the X-rays are produced in the innermost hot part of the accretion flow, while the optical/infrared (OIR) emission is mainly produced by the irradiated outer thin accretion disc. Recent multiwavelength observations of Galactic black hole transients show that the situation is not so simple. Fast variability in the OIR band, OIR excesses above the thermal emission and a complicated interplay between the X-ray and the OIR light curves imply that the OIR emitting region is much more compact. One of the popular hypotheses is that the jet contributes to the OIR emission and even is responsible for the bulk of the X-rays. However, this scenario is largely ad hoc and is in contradiction with many previously established facts. Alternatively, the hot accretion flow, known to be consistent with the X-ray spectral and timing data, is also a viable candidate to produce the OIR radiation. The hot-flow scenario naturally explains the power-law like OIR spectra, fast OIR variability and its complex relation to the X-rays if the hot flow contains non-thermal electrons (even in energetically negligible quantities), which are required by the presence of the MeV tail in Cyg X-1. The presence of non-thermal electrons also lowers the equilibrium electron temperature in the hot flow model to ?100 keV, making it more consistent with observations. Here we argue that any viable model should simultaneously explain a large set of spectral and timing data and show that the hybrid (thermal/non-thermal) hot flow model satisfies most of the constraints.  相似文献
