Abstract:A special three-dimensional FMD(Force Measurement Device) is developed based on the study of the vertical force-limited control and the general three-dimensional FMDs.It is analyzed by the FEM and the vibration tests.Using the new three-dimensional FMD,a horizontal force-limited test is carried out for a certain satellite’s bearing cylinder.Test results show that the stiffness,strength,measuring range and accuracy of the new FMD can meet the requirement of vibration tests of the satellite of similar structures.
