| Abstract: | Elizabeth Willard is a grotesque character in Sherwood Anderson's work Winesburg, Ohio. She bears the common characteristic of Anderson's characters in the book, lonely, restless, dissatisfied and disillusioned. This paper tends to make an analysis on her suppressed passion and how her character is formed. |
