基于材料初始不连续状态的飞机结构腐蚀管理全寿命模型研究

通过腐蚀形态修正因子考虑外在腐蚀环境和疲劳载荷的影响,初步探索出了一条基于材料初始不连续状态,并考虑外在环境腐蚀影响的疲劳全寿命估算方法,构建了一种较为合理的全寿命分析模型.该模型可以将全寿命阶段飞机结构可能遭受的腐蚀形态、腐蚀与疲劳的交互作用和腐蚀监控检查周期等作为变量纳入全寿命框架中     

基于Creator的虚拟航空仪表建模技术

分析了利用可视化仿真建模软件Creator的仪表面板模块创建航空仪表模型的优缺点;针对航空仪表面板各类仪表的特点,介绍了基于Creator的虚拟航空仪表的优化建模方法和技术;最后给出了应用实例。     

Trailing-edge scalloping effect on flat-plate membrane wing performance

This investigation studies the effect of trailing-edge scalloping on the lift and drag force coefficients of flat, membrane wings that vibrate at low Reynolds numbers (<61,000). A series of rigid, flat plate frames with moderate aspect ratio and repeating membrane cell structure were studied and compared to a rigid plate and a rigid scalloped plate. Lift and drag measurements were acquired using an external force-balance; flow fluctuation measurements were captured with a hot-wire. Results showed that the size and aspect ratio of the latex cell had a greater impact on lift than scalloping and that scalloping had a greater effect on drag than the cell aspect ratio. Compared to the solid wings, the membrane wings exhibited higher lift and drag coefficients, likely due to both effective cambering and dynamic interaction with the free shear layer. While trailing-edge scalloping decreased both the lift and drag coefficients relative to no scalloping, the greater effect was on drag, thus, increasing aerodynamic efficiency. The maximum lift-to-drag ratio was attained for a 25% scallop with a repeating cell aspect ratio of one. A unique nondimensional scaling of the membrane vibration peak frequency is also presented.

Progress of super-pressure balloon development: A new “tawara” concept with improved stability

The super-pressure balloon (SPB) has been expected to be a flight vehicle that can provide a long flight duration to science. Since 1997, we have developed the SPB. Now we are at the phase of developing an SPB of a practical size. In 2009, we carried out a test flight of a pumpkin-shaped SPB with a 60,000 m³ volume. The undesirable result of this flight aroused us to resolve the deployment instability of the pumpkin-shaped SPB, which has been known as one of the most challenging issues confronting SPB development. To explore this deployment issue, in 2010, we carried out a series of ground tests. From results of these tests, we found that an SPB design modified from pumpkin, named “tawara”, can be a good candidate to greatly improve the deployment stability of the lobed SPB.
