Numerous documents were reviewed to verify radar parameters needed to analyze and present the tester concept described herein. The weather and windshear models defined use the identical criteria established for the Doppler radar in terms of F-factor. The basic concept of the tester is to transmit coherent simulated radar returns in response to the airborne radar's transmission while mounted on a tripod in the far field of the radar when parked on the ramp. The varying amplitude of the received radar pulses are analyzed and put into memory as the tester antenna is illuminated by the scanning main beam and side lobes of the radar's antenna patterns. The tester controls the power of its outputted simulated radar returns in inverse relation to the power of the received radar pulses. These simulated radar returns, outputted into the main beam and/or side lobes of the scanning radar antenna, are interpreted by the radar system as received in the main lobe. The tester transmissions, incorporating microburst, storm and gust front models, previously defined, can thereby test the aircraft radar system performance in various hazard environments. 针对飞行模拟训练需求,基于自然云与电磁波束相互作用的统计特性,设计了 1种自然云雷达图像仿真方案,给出了多个关键仿真模型的实现方法。通过雷达波束的子波束划分实现雷达波束充塞系数的估算,解决了波束充塞系数计算难度大的问题,并根据云的三维模型设计了雷达回波能量计算模型。通过将三维空间的计算转化到二维平面内以获取雷达波束中心与云团交点位置及参数,以此计算雷达反射率和雷达回波的距离衰减。仿真实验表明:该方法能较好地体现云对回波的衰减效应,以及波束充塞度对远距离云回波计算的影响,具有较好的实时性。  相似文献

From October 1982 through May 1983 an extensive weather clutter registration program was executed near the Dutch coast. Coherent echo series of 2 s were obtained from a cluster of adjacent antenna pencil beams every 10 or 15 min., mainly between 16:00 and 08:30 h and on the weekends. The beam cluster was pointed toward the intensity maximum of the clutter volume. The radar operated at 5650 MHz. Spectra with 10 Hz Doppler resolution have been computed by averaging over 19 discrete Fourier transforms of overlapping and tapered subseries of 200 echo vectors. To quantify the deviation from a Gaussian shape a spectral variability is defined which is computed for every estimated spectrum. It is found that the deviation from Gaussian is considerable in about one-fourth of the spectra. A selection of "typical worst case" spectra is presented.  相似文献

A method of improving angular discrimination artificially in radar beacon systems, without going to extremely high frequencies of operation or using unreasonably large interrogator antennas, involves the use of a null-type antenna pattern superposed on a normal directional beam. The effective are over which replies are obtained is determined by an amplitude discriminator circuit within the beacon which compares the amplitude of the pulse signals received on the null pattern with those received via the directional beam. Only if the latter exceed the former by a predetermined amount does the beacon produce a reply. The method, which has been tried experimentally and its theory verified, produces an increase in traffic handling capacity, as well as improved angular resolution, by reducing unwanted triggering and, hence, clutter on the display and the over-interrogation of transponder beacons. An antenna is described which eliminates triggering on sidelobes by providing the proper current distribution to the radiating elements to cause the null pattern to cover the sidelobes of the normal beam. Triple-pulse amplitude discriminators have been built and tested in a double-pulse interrogation system. Some theoretical considerations and design curves and equations for use in designing nulltype antennas are given in the Appendix.  相似文献

 本文从多普勒谱分辨理论出发,分析了DBS成象的基本原理,实现DBS成象的实时信号处理过程,提出了DBS实时数字信号处理方案。通过计算机模拟试验表明,在雷达天线保持匀速扫描状态时,系统的多普勒波束锐化比可达17.4:1左右,并可对载机前方±15°—60°方位范围内提供一幅大面积的,高分辨力的扇形雷达图象。  相似文献

介绍了嵌入式仿真技术及其发展,将嵌入式仿真与雷达模拟训练相结合,构成了能够嵌入到机械扫描雷达实装的模拟训练系统。描述了对嵌入式仿真训练系统的结构组成以及部分模块的功能,研究了模拟雷达视频回波数据的方法和模型,包括目标回波、地物杂波、海杂波、气象杂波、有源干扰和接收机内部噪声,利用数学模型计算回波的强度、方位、距离等特性,调制实际录取的回波数据,生成与态势设置参数相应的模拟回波数据,能够对信号处理操作和抗干扰操作做出响应。通过对视频回波进行仿真,由终端显示画面可知模拟的回波数据具有较高的逼真度,经测试模拟视频回波能够被雷达显控终端识别。  相似文献

设计了一个机载气象雷达回波信号仿真系统,可用于高保真雷达回波信号的生成与演示。基于高保真风场建模数据,依照真实机载气象雷达的扫描方式初始化仿真参数,对风场数据进行机载气象雷达回波仿真,得到了可靠的仿真数据,并对可靠性进行验证。该系统采用C#与Matlab联合编程的方法进行实现,可实现的功能包括各种气象目标在不同模式下的雷达回波仿真,雷达回波数据正确性的验证及展示。得到的信号可为机载气象雷达信号处理和数据处理算法的开发提供数据支持。  相似文献

This analysis concludes that, for a “swath/azimuth resolution” (SAR) ratio not exceeding 104 (as is the case for the missions designed and imagined up until now), it is possible, thanks to new imaging modes based on timing diagram saturation, to reduce the length of the antenna by two (defined along the speed vector) under equivalent performance, antenna area, onboard energy and spectral occupancy conditions. One of the advantages is that the Spotlight mode is not needed except if one wishes to exceed the ratio of 104, which gives, in addition to the elimination of the operational limitations of this mode, high cost reduction possibilities with very simplified antenna architectures. These principles are applicable to all types of satellite architectures provided that the rejection of the nadir echo is done other than in the temporal domain, here too saturated. They are especially interesting for the RADAR SAIL case, lowering the costs of the RADAR satellite concept invented by CNES, based on the use of a vertical antenna placed in the orbit plane. On the one hand, they get round the length limitation related to this concept and generalise its utilisation range. On the other hand, the absence of the nadir echo (physically rejected on account of the SAIL concept geometry) enables antenna simplification to be pushed as far as possible without having to preserve a minimum number of control points required for beam nulling toward nadir and, in addition, a single diagram, that of the pencil beam, enables all incidences and modes to be covered, which simplifies the characterisation, calibration and operation of the Radar.  相似文献

The idea of this work is the use of a vertical antenna (antenna placed in the orbit plane) for a spaceborne radar. This surprising geometry is proven to work properly and to simplify the design of the instrument, particularly when it is associated with a short antenna length (<5 m, along speed vector). The number of antenna control points is greatly reduced, which saves cost and mass of an active antenna. A single pencil beam allows all the incidences and modes to be achieved. Viewing on both sides of the satellite track is enabled. Spotlight mode is no longer needed and therefore most of the operational constraints attached to high resolution are removed. Merits of the geometry are not limited to the instrument, a cascade of other innovations converges into a radically new design of the whole satellite for an ultimate goal of simplification and cost reduction, this is radar SAIL concept. The merits and cost savings of short vertical antenna are illustrated with a 1 m resolution X band mission, and the extra merits of the integrated SAIL architecture with respect to the standard satellite architecture are discussed  相似文献

The use of data obtained by a monopulse radar to estimate the location of the radar cross-section centroid of an ensemble of scatterers is discussed. Both dish and phased-array antenna radars are treated. Expressions for the bias and variance of the centroid estimates are presented, including the effects of the radar receiver and beam pattern characteristics, receiver noise, and the video waveform sampling granularity, as well as the target properties. The monopulse tracking approach discussed here is contrasted with a raster scan approach presented previously.  相似文献

Beam splitting for a radar beacon system that scans in azimuth is investigated from a theoretical viewpoint. The video output is quantized into two levels corresponding to a detection and no detection. Further, the antenna sensitivity profile is described by sin ?/?. For this system, a digital method of beam splitting that minimizes angular error is developed. Prior information about the probable location of targets can be included. Both Bayesian and minimax approaches are developed. The minimax estimate of the target azimuth is the average of the angles at which beacon signals are detected. The antenna beam can be interpolated by a factor of 10 when the signal power is 3 dB above the noise and without prior azimuth information The interaction of beam splitting and detection is discussed.  相似文献

The following topics are discussed in the context of the development of an airborne moving target radar for long range surveillance: US Navy long range shipborne radar; Cadillac I airborne early warning (AEW) radar; Cadillac II airborne early warning (AEW) radar; airborne moving target indicating (AMTI) radar; related post-war radar activities; and the invention of the displaced center antenna. Among the topics studied is the use of a monopulse antenna in an MTI radar to remove the degradation of the MTI caused by rapid scanning of the antenna. We propose a beamsplitting-like approach to estimate the directions of arrival (DOA) of multiple radar targets present in the mainlobe of a rotating antenna. The proposed method is based on the maximum likelihood (ML) technique and it avoids the need for a difference channel by exploiting knowledge of the antenna main beam pattern. Two scenarios are considered: multiple targets with unknown deterministic complex amplitudes and multiple targets with Gaussian distributed random complex amplitudes. The performance of the proposed estimator is investigated through Monte Carlo simulation and it is compared with the Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB).  相似文献

Hardware-in-the-loop(HWIL) simulation technology can verify and evaluate the radar by simulating the radio frequency environment in an anechoic chamber. The HWIL simulation technology of wide-band radar targets can accurately generate wide-band radar target echo which stands for the radar target scattering characteristics and pulse modulation of radar transmitting signal. This paper analyzes the wide-band radar target scattering properties first. Since the responses of target are composed of many separate scattering centers, the target scattering characteristic is restructured by scattering centers model. Based on the scattering centers model of wide-band radar target, the wide-band radar target echo modeling and the simulation method are discussed. The wide-band radar target echo is reconstructed in real-time by convoluting the transmitting signal to the target scattering parameters. Using the digital radio frequency memory(DRFM) system,the HWIL simulation of wide-band radar target echo with high accuracy can be actualized. A typical wide-band radar target simulation is taken to demonstrate the preferable simulation effect of the reconstruction method of wide-band radar target echo. Finally, the radar target time-domain echo and high-resolution range profile(HRRP) are given. The results show that the HWIL simulation gives a high-resolution range distribution of wide-band radar target scattering centers.  相似文献
