The leading edge estimator (LEE) of a pulse signal is defined as the instant at which a filtered version of the received noisy signal passes a preset threshold. A rigorous analysis for a rectangular pulse model of the signal results in an exact probability density function for the LEE, valid within the time interval of the leading edge of the filtered pulse. Possible occurrence of the threshold crossing outside of this interval is considered to be an anomalous estimate, since it leads to a gross error in comparison with the regular cases. It is found that the density function of the LEE error is asymmetrical and therefore biased, that the probability PA of anomalous estimation increases with the filter bandwidth, thus setting a well definable limit to the latter and that, for prespecified PA, the minimum bias and variance are proportional, respectively, to R-1 and R-2, minima being obtained by allowing for the largest bandwidth compatible with PA. On the other hand, for given bandwidth the variance decreases only as R-1. Here R is the signal-to-noise energy ratio. Results are presented in form of parameterized graphs.  相似文献

针对传统的单载波扫频法不适于GNSS(全球导航卫星系统)信号生成通道的带宽测量的问题,提出了采用数字信号处理的信号带宽方法.对实际导航信号进行高速采样,在数字域对采样的导航信号和本地数字生成的理想导航信号进行频谱估计和计算,从而得到GNSS信号带宽.分别使用周期图法和Welch法谱估计,对提出的测试方法进行仿真.仿真结果表明,采用Welch法进行理想信号和实际信号谱估计,对谱估计后的结果进行计算,可以完成GNSS信号带宽精密测量,在Welch法估计参数设置合理的情况下,GNSS信号带宽估计的准确度可以达到99.9%以上.  相似文献

时差法相关测量中信号的带宽越宽,互相关函数的峰值点的峰值优势越大,其测量的抗干扰性能越好。通过理论分析和数学仿真研究了两种宽带信号源——噪声信号和扫频信号,并利用相关分析法测量两信号问时差时的性能。结论是:噪声信号频带范围宽,带宽不受所采用信号长短的限制,测量分辨力高,但其频谱与噪声干扰频谱相似,抗干扰能力差;扫频信号的频率和带宽可人为控制,频谱特征明显,抗干扰性能好。  相似文献

 通过分析数字闭环光纤陀螺的阶梯波调制信号与输出死区、周期噪声干扰及小角速度漂移的关系,提出了调制串扰误差的概念。指出调制信号与探测器输出信号之间的电交叉耦合及调制信号产生的调制误差是产生调制串扰误差的干扰源。将调制串扰通道模型简化为比例环节和部分积分环节,并和光纤陀螺理想模型结合,建立了光纤陀螺调制串扰误差模型,利用该模型推导出了产生死区的条件及周期噪声干扰和小角速度漂移造成的输出偏差表达式,并对周期噪声的幅值、频率与陀螺输出量级、带宽之间的关系进行了定量分析。调制串扰误差的仿真和实验结果与理论分析结果基本一致,验证了调制串扰误差模型的正确性。  相似文献

相关分析法是信号分析和工程测量中重要的技术方法。通过理论分析和数学仿真研究了两种相关法测量——相差法相关测量和时差法相关测量的理论基础和适用条件。相位差法相关测量要求源信号为单一频率的简谐信号,适宜测量较小的时差。时差法相关测量要求源信号为非单一频率的宽频带信号,适宜测量较大的时差。源信号的带宽越宽,互相关函数的峰值点的峰值优势越大,其测量的抗干扰性能越好。  相似文献

The performance of a bandlimited binary phase-shift-keyed (BPSK) communication system is examined when the received BPSK signal is corrupted by both thermal noise and a directional Gaussian noise interfering signal. The system uses an LMS adaptive array to suppress this interference. The effects of signal power levels, arrival angles, bandwidths, and the array bandwidth are examined. The performance of a system that uses tapped delay lines for the array weights is also examined. It is shown that the performance of a system with tapped delay lines is not affected by the interference bandwidth for a single interferer.  相似文献

Jump phenomena are known to exist in many non-linear systems [I], [2], [3]. The non-linear analysis presented in this paper explains and predicts the conditions for the jump phenomenon that is observed in a phase-locked loop (PLL) preceded by an automatic gain control (AGC). The jump phenomenon occurs when the frequency separation AM of two sinusoids at the input to the AGC is greater than the bandwidth B of the linearized PLL. If the loop is initially locked to the stronger signal, the weaker signal will frequency-modulate the PLL voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) with a modulation frequency AI. The amplitude S2 of the weaker signal al can be increased until it becomes greater than the amplitude Si of the signal being tracked, without causing the loop to lose lock; i. e., the VCO continues to track the original signal. However, if the ratio of the amplitudes S2 S1 = R is increased above some critical value RC > 1, the loop will lose lock on the original signal, and jump to track the interfering signal. If the frequency separation is at least twice the PLL bandwidth, a good approximation for this critical ratio is Rc ? ?w/B.  相似文献

叶片通过频率分量是风扇噪声的主要成分,但在对噪声测量信号进行频谱分析中发现选择不同带宽可导致显著不同的叶片通过频率分量谱值.讨论了使用不同带宽对相同风扇噪声记录进行的快速傅里叶变换(FFT)分析过程,由于FFT分析得到的频谱声压级是带宽内谱能量和,当由于转速波动引起的叶片通过频率波动范围超过分析带宽时带宽的变化将引起声压级的差异,本文提出了获得确定声压级频谱的方法.  相似文献

Two angle modulated signals (FM or PM) passing through a limiter and then a demodulator are analyzed. The analysis considers the problem of adjacent carrier interference, direct adjacent channel interference (DACI) or cross talk, and adjacent channel interference (ACI). The analysis of adjacent carrier interference shows that if the 3rd order IM is not to overlap the signal spectra, the carrier frequencies must be separated by 2B where B is the bandwidth of each carrier. The ACI analysis shows that the carrier frequencies must be separated by B+2?m for no ACI, since the demodulator reduces the bandwidth of the 3rd order IM from 3B to 2B+2?m where ?m is the maximum frequency of each baseband. The DACI analysis shows that DACI does not exist in a PM system and is -52 dB for an ideal hard limiter with no bandpass filter. But the DACI is -58 dB for an ideal hard limiter with a more realistic bandpass filter.  相似文献

A stochastic model of pseudorandom (PR) signals is adopted and a statistical analysis carried out of the velocity (i. e., Doppler) and acceleration tolerances of wide-band PR matched filter sonar systems. The reference functions for these correlation detection systems are considered to be time-compressed or time-expanded replicas of the transmitted signal. Results are derived for the case of a PR signal having a flat power spectral density over a finite bandwidth. It is shown that the velocity and acceleration tolerances are essentially independent of the signal bandwidth and that therefore the radar-derived expressions for the narrow-band tolerances can be extended to the wide-band sonar case. An interesting result is that the derived acceleration tolerance is approximately three times the widely used estimate that is based on the target remaining in the same Doppler channel over the integration time.  相似文献

The effect of hard limiting an angle-modulated signal plus narrow-band Gaussian noise is analyzed. Several examples are considered?sinusoidal angle modulation, Gaussian angle modulation, and biphase angle modulation. The general conclusion is that when a zonal band-pass filter is used, which rejects dc and second harmonics, an angle-modulated signal plus Gaussian noise provides the same output signal-to-noise ratio as shown by Davenport for a CW signal plus Gaussian noise. However, when a narrow bandpass filter is used, which has a bandwidth approximately equal to the input angle-modulated signal, an angle-modulated signal plus Gaussian noise has a better output signal-to-noise ratio than a CW signal plus Gaussian noise.  相似文献

The FAST magnetic field investigation incorporates a tri-axial fluxgate magnetometer for DC and low-frequency (ULF) magnetic field measurements, and an orthogonal three-axis searchcoil system for measurement of structures and waves corresponding to ELF and VLF frequencies. One searchcoil sensor is sampled up to 2 MHz to capture the magnetic component of auroral kilometric radiation (AKR). Because of budget, weight, power and telemetry considerations, the fluxgate was given a single gain state, with a 16-bit dynamic range of ±65536 nT and 2 nT resolution. With a wide variety of FAST fields instrument telemetry modes, the fluxgate output effective bandwidth is between 0.2 and 25 Hz, depending on the mode. The searchcoil telemetry products include burst waveform capture with 4- and 16-kHz bandwidth, continuous 512-point FFTs of the ELF/VLF band (16 kHz Nyquist) provided by a digital signal processing chip, and swept frequency analysis with a 1-MHz bandwidth. The instruments are operating nominally. Early results have shown that downward auroral field-aligned currents, well-observed over many years on earlier missions, are often carried by accelerated electrons at altitudes above roughly 2000 km in the winter auroral zone. The estimates of current from derivatives of the field data agree with those based on flux from the electrons. Searchcoil observations help constrain the degree to which, for example, ion cyclotron emissions are electrostatic.  相似文献

This paper derives and graphically illustrates the performance characteristics of Phase-Shift-Keyed communication systems where the receiver's phase reference is noisy and derived from the observed waveform by means of a narrow-band tracking filter (a phase-locked loop). In particular, two phase measurement methods are considered. One method requires the transmission of an auxiliary carrier (in practice, this signal is usually referred to as the sync subcarrier). This carrier is tracked at the receiver by means of a phase-locked loop, and the output of this loop is used as a reference signal for performing a coherent detection. The second method is self-synchronizing in that the reference signal is derived from the modulated data signal by means of a squaring-loop. The statistics (and their properties) of the differenced-correlator outputs are derived and graphically illustrated as a function of the signal-to-noise ratio existing in the tracking filter's loop bandwidth and the signal-to-noise ratio in the data channel. Conclusions of these results as well as design trends are presented.  相似文献

The optimum detector for a random signal, the estimator-correlator, is difficult to implement. If the power spectral density (PSD) of a continuous time signal is known, a locally optimum detector is available. It maximizes the deflection ratio (DR), a measure of the detector output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). A discrete version of this detector is developed here, called the discrete-MDRD, which takes a weighted sum of the spectral components of the signal data as the detection statistic. Its derivation is applicable to nonwhite noise samples as well. A comparison of this new detector against three other common types, through their DR values and simulation results, reveals that the discrete-MDRD is near optimal at low SNRs. When the PSD of a signal is not known, a common test statistic is the peak of the PSD of the data. To reduce spectral variations, the PSD estimator first divides the data sequence into several segments and then forms the averaged PSD estimate. The segment length affects the DR values; the length that maximizes the DR is approximately the reciprocal of the signal bandwidth. Thus for unknown signal PSD, a detector that approaches the maximum DR is realizable from just the knowledge of the signal bandwidth, which is normally available. Examples and simulation results are provided to illustrate the properties and performance of the new detector  相似文献

针对雷达信号资源利用率有待提升、低截获性能不足的问题,提出 1种复合调制的创新型探干一体化信号波形。线性调频信号本身具有良好的低截获性能,伪随机码序列分量具有较好的干扰性,同时又能一定程度上扩展信号带宽,两者的复合调制信号具有良好的探测和干扰性能。对基于 LFM的探干一体化信号波形进行了调制原理分析,并分别从时域、频域、功率谱、模糊函数、自相关特性等角度分析其探测、干扰特性。仿真实验证明,相较于单一调制的线性调频信号,一体化信号具有更宽的频带、更优良的干扰特性和探测性能,同时,有更高效的雷达资源利用率。  相似文献

The microwave CLFM study was directed to generating 14 ?s S-band pulses of 1000 MHz bandwidth and an rms phase error of a few degrees. Over 972 MHz bandwidth, the sampled phase error relative to the reference was 7 degrees rms and 17 degrees peak, with a maximum Fourier component of 4 degrees. The FM pulse train is generated by a gated BWO driven by a stable linearizing waveform. Phase coherency during each pulse is obtained by a sampling technique, where the phase is corrected at intervals of 1/6 ?s, the RF phase having changed an integral number of cycles in each interval. Multiplication of the BWO signal by the sampling pulse train results in band-limited phase error pulses which are applied in a feedback loop. Pulse-to-pulse coherency is obtained by phase lock of the BWO starting frequency to the crystal reference. Feedback leveling holds the output constant to 0.3 dB. The basic MITRE technique was originally demonstrated at 10 MHz in 1964. Range results measured with the X-band model radar using the CLFM generator are given and confirm the phase errors of the CLFM.  相似文献
