This paper analyzes a buck/boost regulator employing current-injected control (CIC). It reveals the complex interactions between the dc loop and the current-injected loop and underlines the fundamental principle that governs the loop gain determination. Three commonly used compensation techniques are compared. The integral and lead/lag compensation are shown to be most desirable for performance optimization and stability.  相似文献

The stability and dynamic performances of a buck/boost regulator employing a current-injected control are examined. Small-signal models for the power state, the multiloop error processor, and the duty-cycle pulse modulator are developed. The error-processor model which incorporates the current-injected loop, the dc loop, and the compensation network permits evaluation of the effects of each individual control loop and their combined efforts toward shaping the performance characteristics of the closed-loop system. Comparisons are made between this modeling approach and earlier approaches. Some important yet subtle dissimilarities are discussed. This model predicts the constant-frequency 50-percent duty-cycle instability which is inherent to the current-injected control.  相似文献

The interaction between the input filter and the control loop of switching regulators often results in detrimental effects, such as loop instability, degradation of transient response, and audiosusceptibility, etc. The concept of pole-zero cancellation is employed to mitigate some of these detrimental effects and is implemented using a novel feedforward loop, in addition to existing feedback loops of a buck regulator. Experimental results are presented which show excellent correlation with theory.  相似文献

A new design technique of the input filter damping network for dc-to-dc switching converters of buck type is presented. This technique is derived by means of zero dynamics analysis of the switching converter and yields equivalent results to those obtained using the classical approach based on minimizing the filter output impedance. The new method can be applied in converters of buck type with two inductors, boost with two inductors and dual SEPIC. Simulation and experimental results corresponding to a boost converter with two inductors illustrate the procedure.  相似文献

Describing-function techniques and averaging methods have been employed to characterize a multiloop switching buck regulator by three functionsl blocks: power stage, analog signal processor, and pulse modulator. The model is employed. to explore possible forms of pole-zero cancellation and the adaptive nature of the control to filter parameter changes. Analysis-based design guide lines are provided including a suggested additional RC-compensation loop to optimize regulator performances such as stability, audiosusceptibility, output impedance, and load transient response.  相似文献

A unified approach to developing single-stage power converters which can fulfil multiple functions is presented. Four synchronous switches corresponding to the four common node types of two active switches are introduced. The approach is then to replace the active switches in multistage converters (in cascade or cascode connection) with one or several of the synchronous switches and their degenerated versions to form a single-stage converter. Illustrations of using these switches to develop single-stage converters are presented. These are started with the development of the well-known single-stage switch-mode converters (SMCs), buck-boost, Cuk, sepic, and Zeta (also named dual sepic), from the basic converters, buck and boost. Then, synthesis and applications of other single-stage converters are addressed. A large-signal stability analysis of the solar array regulator system is performed to facilitate the design and analysis of a low-earth-orbit (LEO) satellite power system. The effective load characteristics of various control methods in the solar array regulator system, such as the constant power load, variable power load, constant voltage load, constant current load, and constant resistive load, are classified to analyze the large-signal stability. Then, using the state plane analysis technique, the large-signal behavior of the solar array system is portrayed and the stability of various equilibrium points is analyzed. Thus, this approach can be contributed to organize the optimal controller structure of the system by representing the relationship between the control method of the solar array regulator and the large-signal stability. For the verification of the proposed large-signal analysis, a solar array regulator system that consists of two 100 W parallel module buck converters has been built and tested using a real 200 W solar array.  相似文献

针对航空发动机传统单变量线性控制器min-max切换方法处理约束的不足,提出了单变量滑模控制器替换所有线性控制器的改进策略,并将该方法拓展为新切换逻辑下的多变量滑模控制结构。基于改进的单变量滑模控制器min-max结构,多变量控制策略中加入了多变量滑模主控制器和新的切换逻辑,充分利用发动机的所有控制量,克服了传统方法的保守性,进一步提高发动机约束下的动态性能。对稳态时工作的控制器进行了理论分析,建立了多变量控制器实现精确跟踪的充要条件。仿真结果表明,多变量控制方法在更苛刻的约束条件下能够实现跟踪任务,而且提高了推力跟踪的快速性,调节时间从1.91 s缩短到1.54 s,同时降低了稳态时的油耗。  相似文献

An evolutionary approach to worst case tolerance design is introduced here, with a focus on feedback compensation networks for dc-dc switching converters. Assumed that varying parameters values are uniformly distributed and uncorrelated, as provided by the worst case approach, the proposed algorithm, of general applicability, seeks for the set of nominal values and tolerances of the circuit parameters ensuring that the design constraints are met and that a user-defined circuit performance index assumes its optimal value. Design constraints, are fixed in the frequency domain, in terms of acceptability ranges of loop gain crossover frequency and phase margin, to guarantee closed loop stability and the desired dynamic performance. Resistive and capacitive compensation network's parameters values are chosen within a suitable database of couples nominal value/tolerance available on the market, while the nominal values and tolerances of the parameters of the power stage are fixed. Referring to a buck dc-dc switching regulator, two widely used different compensation network topologies are compared in terms of reliability, robustness, and cost of components. Simulation results show the wide usefulness of the proposed method in supporting designer decisions.  相似文献

The interaction between the input filter and the regulator often causes serious degradation of performance. The reduction in loop gain due to input filter interaction can result in system instability. An exact stability analysis of the buck regulator system is presented. The input filter parameter values are varied and system instability is predicted for the case without feedforward. The eigenvalues of the system can be brought back into the unit circle and the system thus stabilized with the addition of the feedforward loop. Measurements made for the cases with and without feedforward confirm the analytical prediction.  相似文献

A nonlinear programming technique using the penalty function method is employed for the minimum weight design of a halfbridge dc-dc buck power converter. The cost-effective computeraided approach provides a minimum weight design down to the details of the component level which concurrently meets all power circuit performance requirements. Important design insights and guidelines are obtained to readily assess 1) the tradeoffs between weight and loss as the switching frequency is increased, 2) the optimum operating frequency range over which the total weight/loss is minimized, 3) the impact of device characteristics on the total weight and loss profile.  相似文献

A new ac/dc 3-/spl phi/ single-stage converter is proposed integrating a 3-/spl phi/ discontinuous current mode (DCM) boost with a dc/dc fixed frequency series resonant converter (SRC). This converter has the following features: natural power factor correction, soft switching, high-frequency (HF) transformer isolation with the series resonant tank operating in above resonance mode, etc. A new complementary gating control scheme is used for simultaneous control of boost converter and the SRC. Modes of operation are presented and analyzed. Based on the analysis, design curves are obtained. An optimum design is given and a design example is presented. Results obtained from SPICE simulation for the designed converter are given to verify the performance of the proposed converter for varying load as well as line voltage. Experimental results obtained from a laboratory prototype converter are presented to verify the theory.  相似文献

A novel pulsewidth-modulated (PWM) dc-dc converter topology is proposed for the battery charge regulator (BCR) of the Columbus Man-Tended Free-Flyer (MTFF) power system. The system is a regulated bus system. Bus voltage control is implemented at the input of the BCR. The use of a conventional buck topology with PWM conductance control at the input results in a second-order behavior. A study of new PWM dc-dc converter topologies has been made to attain a suitable topology. The proposed converter topology is designed and a breadboard including the control loop has been built and tested. The experimental results show that the converter operates according to the design constraints.  相似文献

The state-plane analysis technique is established for the zero-voltage-switching resonant DC/DC power converter family of topologies, namely the buck, boost, buck-boost, Cuk, sepic, and dual-sepic converters. The state plane provides a compression of information, which allows the designer to examine the nonlinear dynamics of resonant converter operation. Utilizing the state plane, modes of resonant converter operation are examined. An analysis is presented for the transfer functions of a particular pulsewidth modulator and power-stage subsystem that has been widely used in practical switching-mode dc regulator systems. The switch and filter are in a ?buck? configuration, and the switch is driven by a constant-frequency, variable duty-ratio, push-pull magnetic modulator employing square-loop cores. The two transfer functions considered are that with modulator control signal as input and that with line voltage as input. For ac signal,the corresponding describing functions (DF) are derived. It is shown thatcurrent-source drive to the modulator extends the control DF frequency response over that with voltage drive, and that complete cancellation of the effects of line variations can be obtained at dc, but not for ac. Experimental confirmation of the analytical results for the control DF are presented.  相似文献

Signal flow graph (SFG) nonlinear modeling approach is well known for modeling dc-dc converters. However, all possible SFGs of a given dc-dc converter system will not yield the generalized graph. A systematic procedure and guidelines for developing unified flow graph models of the dc-dc boost converters, from which complete behavior can be determined is presented. Usefulness of the proposed method is demonstrated through examples. As an illustration a 2-cell cascade boost and interleaved boost converter systems are taken as examples. Derivation of large, small-signal and steady-state models from generalized flow graph is also demonstrated. Large-signal model is developed and programmed in TUTSIM simulator. Large-signal, responses against supply and load disturbances are obtained. Experimental observations are provided to validate the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

A dynamic pulsewidth modulator (DPM) is synthesized to generate a PWM (pulsewidth modulated) signal from dynamic converter variables and from a (quasi-)static control signal. Based on a pragmatic principle with simple hardware implementation, the DPM can be functionally integrated with a PWM converter to broaden the converter power bandwidth, enhancing the converter's ability to meet stringent dynamic specifications. Even if bandwidth broadening is not the prime objective, the smaller phase shift associated with the broader bandwidth simplifies the design of the regulation loop. The DPM principle can also linearize the large-signal behavior of a nonlinear converter. The theory is demonstrated and verified for a buck converter, whose PWM bandwidth is extended from 1/50 of the switching frequency to about 1/3 of the switching frequency.  相似文献

从影响军用飞机生产制造工时的众多因素中提取出24个飞机总工时影响因素,采用统计学方法结合理论分析对此24个因素进行科学筛选,筛选出飞机最大起飞重量、最大速度、爬升率、最大过载、钛铝合金比例、复合材料与铝合金比例这6个关键影响因素。考虑偏最小二乘回归(PLS)法在处理小样本多元数据方面的优势,采用PLS法对飞机总工时进行预测,预测结果表明PLS预测模型平均检验误差约为10%。该模型在实际使用过程中,只需获得飞机性能指标和材料构成等少数设计参数即可在飞机产品生产制造前对飞机生产制造总工时进行宏观预测,具有参数少、物理意义明晰、操作简单、便于使用、准确率高等特点,可为缺乏详细设计信息和生产信息的飞机研制早期方案优选、设计优化或对其进行费用分析和成本控制、固定资产投资、安排生产计划等工作提供相对准确的飞机产品工时。  相似文献
