The performance of an airborne phased-array antenna, which was developed and evaluated onboard a commercial aircraft using the Engineering Test Satellite V (ETS-V), is reported. The system requirements and the antenna configuration that satisfies them are described. The radiation pattern, gain and axial ratio, noise temperature and ratio of gain to noise temperature, and environmental characteristics are presented. The results obtained by the flight experiments demonstrate that the performance of the antenna is the same as that on the ground, so that the antenna is suitable for installation in an aircraft for satellite communications  相似文献

为了提高机载通信设备信道容量和进一步减小天线安装空间,提出一种采用角度分集技术的超宽带(UWB)多输入多输出(MIMO)天线。该天线将Vivaldi天线和超宽带槽天线进行了集成设计,无需采用解耦结构便可获得较高的端口隔离度,大大提高了数据传输率。通过在Vivaldi天线辐射臂上开一对方形缝隙和在介质板背面增加长方形辐射贴片,可以有效减小天线的尺寸,设计的UWB-MIMO天线尺寸为36 mm×36 mm×0.8 mm。给出了天线的设计流程,加工了天线实物,并对其进行了测量。仿真和实测结果表明MIMO天线具有超宽的阻抗带宽,可以覆盖整个3.1~10.6 GHz超宽带频段。Vivaldi天线阻抗带宽为2.8~15.9 GHz,UWB槽天线阻抗带宽为1.8~12.7 GHz,天线端口隔离度均在-10 dB以下。测量了天线的辐射性能和增益特性,实测结果与仿真结果吻合较好,证明了该天线的有效性。该天线可以应用于超宽带无线通信系统和机载阵列天线系统中。  相似文献

设计、分析、制作了一种工作在Ka波段的4单元高增益、圆极化机载微带天线阵列。利用顺序旋转阵列和串并馈方式的微带线网络馈电,显著改善了天线的轴比带宽和驻波带宽,减少了馈线损耗,实现了高增益。采用L型微带调配枝节对贴片单元进行匹配,便于组阵,解决了阵列空间布局不合理的难题;馈电网络和天线单元集成在同一介质基板上,易于加工和制作。测试结果表明:该天线阵具有高增益和良好的圆极化特性,从而证实了该方法的正确性和实用性。本文所设计的天线由于具有体积小、质量轻、结构紧凑、易于集成等优点,在机载相控阵雷达以及卫星通信系统中具有很好的应用前景。  相似文献

针对某机载Ka频段卫星通信天线的使用环境,论述其天线角跟踪系统在捷联航姿设备引导下,天线主波束指向卫星目标位置的概率,分析影响天线角跟踪系统引导概率的主要因素,通过消减系统中大误差源保证了天线引导概率,通过扩展主波束指向空域提高了目标落入概率。计算数据和试验验证表明,给出的分析方法可行,设计策略有效。  相似文献

In February of 1990, land mobile satellite propagation experiments were conducted in Kyoto City, Japan, using the Engineering Test Satellite V (ETS-V). The signal transmitted from the satellite was received and recorded at a mobile unit moving in different streets of the downtown area. The streets chosen have typical downtown medium and high rise buildings, electric utility poles, trees, etc., which caused obstruction to the satellite line of sight. The propagation characteristics such as fade/nonfade distribution, joint fade and nonfade distribution, phase distribution, and their dependence on the antenna type are discussed for the measured link. Error characteristics in digital communication for the above link have been qualitatively analyzed on the basis of the measured signal level fluctuation. Effect of interleaving and coding to improve the communication link is also discussed  相似文献

This paper presents an overview of the development of aeronautical mobile satellite services (AMSS) over the past 30 years. The inherent shortcomings of present air-ground HF communications have hindered the development of civil aviation, but according to the Future Air Navigation Systems (FANS) concept aeronautical satellite communication-including Automatic Dependent Surveillance (ADS)-will be the key to eliminating the shortcomings of HF communication systems. Satellite-based communication and surveillance will significantly improve air traffic control (ATC) over the oceanic and remote terrestrial airspace, and it will benefit civil aviation authorities, airlines as well as passengers. This paper discusses the availability of system elements, and world wide trials, demonstrations and preoperational use of aeronautical satellite communications over past years are described. 提出了一种以地球同步轨道卫星作为参考物、利用GPS位置对Ku波段地面及机载定向天线进行快速标定的方法;研究了将地心大地坐标变换到地心空间直角坐标参数和将地心空间直角坐标变换到站心极坐标的计算方法;给出了定向天线的标定实施步骤。测试结果表明,地面定向天线标定角度误差可达0.1°,机载定向天线标定角度误差可达1°,该标定精度可以满足大部分应用需求。  相似文献

在某些航空应用场景,需要通过飞行器拖曳功能性部件完成特定性任务,例如机载拖曳对潜通信天线等,在这些应用中,通过建立科学的模型和方法,准确地分析稳态、动态特性是保证拖曳体正常工作的前提条件。本文以对潜通信天线为例,建立考虑天线气动力、惯性力以及弹性力的多体动力学的机载天线动力学模型,并对该模型的稳态结果进行算例验证;对考虑载机非定常运动以及突风作用等扰动后的天线系统动态响应进行分析,并对天线断裂等极端情况进行评估。结果表明:本文所建立的模型在垂直度、天线张力等方面的分析结果较好,能够应用于航空拖曳体的稳态及动态特性分析,在对潜通信天线、加油管等系统的设计方面有一定的工程价值。  相似文献

The performance of differentially encoded quadrature phase-shift keying (DQPSK) system employing nonredundant error correction (NEC) receivers with single- and double-error correction capability is analyzed and evaluated for the aeronautical satellite channel. The NEC is an attractive coding technique which employs differential detectors with more than one symbol delay elements and which does not introduce any redundancy as other coding schemes do. As typical for aeronautical satellite communications, a Rician fading channel with Gaussian power spectrum has been considered. Unlike the additive, uncorrelated from symbol to symbol interference such as additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) or static cochannel interference (CCI) which has been investigated in the past, analysis of the performance in a fading channel is much more difficult. The difficulty arises from the multiplicative and correlative nature of the fading interference. Bit error rate (BER) performance evaluation results have been obtained by means of computer simulation for various channel conditions, including different values of the K-factor and the fading BDT. These results have indicated that considerable performance gains as compared with conventional differentially detected systems are achieved for high values of K and for very fast fading. Both of these conditions are encountered in typical aeronautical communication systems. Wherever possible, heuristic explanations of the trend of the obtained BER performance evaluation results are also given  相似文献

Smart antennas are becoming one of the promising technologies to meet the rapidly increasing demands for more capacity of satellite communication systems. A main component in a smart antenna system is beamforming. Because of the limitations of analog beamforming, digital beamforming will be employed in future satellite communication systems. We evaluate the performance of various digital beamforming strategies proposed in the literature for satellite communications: 1) single fixed beam/single user, 2) single fixed beam/multiple users, 3) single adaptive beam/single user, and 4) single Chebyshev dynamic beam/multiple users. Multiple criteria including coverage, system capacity, signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR), and computation complexity are used to evaluate these satellite communication beamforming strategies. In particular, a Ka-band satellite communication system is used to address the various issues of these beamforming strategies. For the adaptive beamforming approach, subarray structure is used to obtain the weights of a large 2D antenna array, and a globally convergent recurrent neural network (RNN) is proposed to realize the adaptive beamforming algorithm in parallel. The new subarray-based neural beamforming algorithm can reduce the computation complexity greatly, and is more effective than the conventional least mean square (LMS) beamforming approach. It is shown that the single adaptive beam/single user approach has the highest system capacity.  相似文献

A method is presented for the selection of a communication system based upon optimization of both frequency-dependent and frequency independent parameters. The indicator of quality used is the effective radiated power per cycle per second of information bandwidth. The method involves consideration of the frequency-dependent qualities such as system temperature and propagation losses independently from the frequency-independent quantities such as modulation loss, signal-to-noise ratio, performance margin, etc. Except for temperature and propagation loss effects, the method is made frequency-independent by considering the spacecraft antenna in terms of area while the ground terminal antenna is treated in terms of gain, thus removing wavelength from the transmission equation. An example is presented of the application of the method to the selection of a system for transmission of wide-band video signals over a satellite to earth link. The example illustrates the exchanges that can be made between the frequency-dependent and -independent quantities in order to arrive at an optimum system.  相似文献

A conceptual system design is described for a satellite-based aeronautical safety communications system capable of serving both general aviation (GA) aircraft and commercial aviation (CA) aircraft in the contiguous US (CONUS) in the mid-1990s. The system design and operational results of a 30/20 GHz band small Earth station for integrated services satellite digital network (ISSDN) experiments are presented. The Earth station has a high efficiency offset Cassegrain antenna with elliptical beam, a high power klystron amplifier with 1 kW output power and an uncooled parametric low noise amplifier with 200 K noise temperature. Experiments were performed using the medium capacity communications satellite for experimental purposes (CS). Performance on the Earth station was high. Effective radiation power (ERP) was greater than 88.1 dBW, and the receiving figure of merit (G/T) was larger than 30.6 dB/K. Good transmission characteristics were obtained through the satellite link for demand assigned time-division multiple access (DA-TDMA) with 20 Mbit/s bit rate.  相似文献

The IP-based networks on aircraft serve to support Internet services via satellites. However, in aeronautical satellite hybrid net- works,the TCP protocol performance often deteriorates due to improper decreases and slow recovery of the congestion window. This paper proposes a window size determination and notification mechanism, onboard-gateway-based mechanism (OGBM), which is based on the onboard gateway in the networks on aircraft. A cross-layer approach is adopted by the onboard gateway to obtain the satellite link bandwidth information. And then, by the gateway, through changing the receiver’s advertised window field in ACK packets, TCP sources are notified of the window size of each TCP source calculated on the ground of bandwidth delay product and flow numbers. The mechanism is able to avoid improper changes of TCP window and serve multiple users. Simulation results show that the mechanism with the fairness index close to 1 improves TCP performance in aeronautical satellite networks.  相似文献

If modern airborne radar systems are to function properly, the radar antenna radiation patterns must meet certain specifications. Until recently, most radar antennas were designed and tested in a clean antenna environment, i.e., there is no near field scattering from host structures or radome effects. However, these higher order effects are the matter of increasing concern with added performance demands in the ever-increasing jammer and clutter interference environments. We investigated the capabilities and limitations of currently available analysis techniques and computer codes for installed performance of airborne radar antenna systems. Then we developed an extended ray-optical technique that could predict total installed performance of airborne radar antenna systems, i.e., the near field scattering from aircraft structures and radome effects. The new analysis technique utilized a ray-tracing method in both airframe and radome simulation. 机载网络是航空电子系统实现信息传输与功能综合的关键组成,引入时间触发(TT)机制并安排合理通信调度可以有效保证机载网络实时可靠通信,但需要首先面对多种调度设计方法的选择问题。在总结了时间触发通信过程与特征的基础上,以时间触发以太网为分析对象,给出了基于可满足性模理论(SMT)、混合整数规划(MIP)和启发式算法等不同约束引导下的调度模型,并形成了基于强化学习(RL)的调度方法;从调度设计的求解能力与性能保障角度出发,建立了包括求解时间、可求解规模、传输延迟和调度模式的评价指标。以工业规模网络为研究案例对不同调度方法进行了验证分析,在评价指标的引导下对比分析了各种方法的适用场景,其中SMT方法可支持小规模案例,MIP方法具有明显的TT消息传输和调度求解运算优势,以遗传算法为典型的启发式方法和RL方法可实现大规模案例调度,虽然其TT延迟略高于MIP方法,但速率约束消息延迟优化程度分别达到7.97%和12.35%。在此基础上,进一步探讨了未来航电系统机载网络时间触发通信调度设计优化技术的发展趋势。  相似文献
