Results on radar cross section (RCS) measurements and inverse synthetic aperture radar images of a Mooney 231 aircraft using a ground-to-air measurement system (GTAMS) and a KC-135 airplane using an airborne radar are presented. The Mooney 231 flew in a controlled path in both clockwise and counterclockwise orbits, and successively with the gear down, flaps in the take-off position and with the speed brakes up. The data indicates that RCS pattern measurements from both ground-based and airborne radar of flying aircraft are useful and that the inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) images obtained are valuable for signature diagnostics  相似文献

If modern airborne radar systems are to function properly, the radar antenna radiation patterns must meet certain specifications. Until recently, most radar antennas were designed and tested in a clean antenna environment, i.e., there is no near field scattering from host structures or radome effects. However, these higher order effects are the matter of increasing concern with added performance demands in the ever-increasing jammer and clutter interference environments. We investigated the capabilities and limitations of currently available analysis techniques and computer codes for installed performance of airborne radar antenna systems. Then we developed an extended ray-optical technique that could predict total installed performance of airborne radar antenna systems, i.e., the near field scattering from aircraft structures and radome effects. The new analysis technique utilized a ray-tracing method in both airframe and radome simulation. The potential of airborne radar to provide pictorial displays as an aid to low approach has stimulated invention of several aircraft approach systems. Early developments are reviewed briefly, and an experiment in producing and flight testing a two-dimensional, range and azimuth, pictorial radar display is described. The monopulse radar equipment and a monopulse display improvement (MDI) technique used in the flight test to enhance the B-scope display are also described in some detail. Representative radar scope photographs are used to illustrate the display available in the aircraft.  相似文献

飞翼布局飞行器因其升阻比高、隐身性能好等诸多优势得到越来越广泛的应用,但是操纵舵面偏转会增加飞行器的雷达散射截面积。提出了采用射流环量控制和反向射流两种主动流动控制技术实现飞行器的无舵面飞行姿态控制。利用风洞测力试验对射流环量控制和反向射流的"舵效"进行了分析,结果表明环量控制技术能产生规律变化且可控的滚转和俯仰力矩、反向射流产生的偏航力矩随控制信号规律变化。飞行试验记录了飞行器姿态随射流激励器控制信号的变化规律,飞行数据表明俯仰环量控制激励器能有效地控制无人机的俯仰运动;无人机的横航向操纵存在耦合,但滚转环量控制激励器和反向射流能控制无人机的滚转和偏航运动。  相似文献

航母编队在防空时,通常利用舰载警戒直升机机载警戒雷达探测距离远的优势实施对空预警,以提高编队防空作战能力。通过分析航母编队在舰载战斗机甲板待战情况下的防空作战过程,建立了警戒直升机前出距离的数学模型,仿真分析了模型中有关参数对警戒直升机前出距离的影响,为确定警戒直升机在航母编队防空作战中的前出距离提供了参考依据。  相似文献

Space-time adaptive processing (STAP) has been widely discussed for airborne radar systems to improve the system performance of detecting targets. This is especially true for airborne early warning (AEW) radar, which should find long-range and small radar cross section (RCS) targets such as the stealth aircraft and missiles. However, in existing airborne radar literature, STAP is mainly considered for clutter and jamming rejection in side-looking airborne radar (SLAR) applications. There have been fewer discussions on airborne radar with non-side-ways looking array radar (non-SLAR). The STAP of non-SLAR such as forward looking array radar is also very important and can not be avoided for airborne radar to detect targets in all directions. The STAP of the non-SLAR is studied here. A scheme has been proposed, which is processed by the way of STAP combined with multiple staggered medium pulse repetition frequencies (PRFs). We further study the selection of PRFs in order to make the scheme more available for non-SLAR radar. We analyze two typical non-SLAR cases, i.e., inclined-sideways looking array and forward looking array. We examine this scheme by comparing the performances of three processing systems under the criteria of range-velocity blind zone minimization. Computer simulation results show the multiple-PRFs STAP scheme is feasible for non-SLAR and can be applied to phased-array AEW radar systems  相似文献

The jet engine modulation (JEM) phenomenon, observed in radar returns from the rotating structure of jet engines, has been successfully exploited for aircraft target identification in a number of experimental radar systems. The authors develop a parametric model based on the periodic modulation of the scattered return, motivated by the potential reduction in time-on-target for reliable target identification provided by parametric models as well as by gaining insight into the JEM phenomenon. Operational deficiencies exist in the current ability to perform high resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR) targeting for precision strike missions in difficult electronic countermeasure (ECM) and anti-aircraft environments. Increasingly sophisticated enemy defenses require that fire control information be derived from highly maneuverable aircraft trajectories rather than traditional straight-and-level flight. In addition, target area aspect information is needed to determine optimal attack approaches. These imaging and targeting conditions impose severe performance requirements on the sensor aircraft motion compensation system (MCS), and dictate the need for sophisticated algorithms to counteract ECM threats. Conformal array apertures have great potential for providing high performance, low weight systems with little or no impact to the aerodynamic design of the air vehicle. 飞机机载设备振动环境谱的数据处理与编制是飞机机载设备环境可靠性试验的重要组成部分,对保障飞机机载设备的安全性和可靠性具有十分重要的意义。以客运飞机为例,对基于Welch法和GJB最新标准的飞机机载设备振动环境谱数据处理与编制技术进行了研究,根据实测数据和相关资料统计,编制出了飞机机载设备综合环境试验剖面图。所建立的针对飞机机载设备振动环境谱数据处理方法与编制原理,满足了飞机机载设备振动环境谱的试验要求,为机载设备振动环境的可靠性评定奠定了基础。  相似文献

Numerous documents were reviewed to verify radar parameters needed to analyze and present the tester concept described herein. The weather and windshear models defined use the identical criteria established for the Doppler radar in terms of F-factor. The basic concept of the tester is to transmit coherent simulated radar returns in response to the airborne radar's transmission while mounted on a tripod in the far field of the radar when parked on the ramp. The varying amplitude of the received radar pulses are analyzed and put into memory as the tester antenna is illuminated by the scanning main beam and side lobes of the radar's antenna patterns. The tester controls the power of its outputted simulated radar returns in inverse relation to the power of the received radar pulses. These simulated radar returns, outputted into the main beam and/or side lobes of the scanning radar antenna, are interpreted by the radar system as received in the main lobe. The tester transmissions, incorporating microburst, storm and gust front models, previously defined, can thereby test the aircraft radar system performance in various hazard environments. The tester is designed to: verify operational performance of the radar; demonstrate installed radar performance; verify crew reports and minimize radar or LRU's removal for maintenance; test before and after a repair; and verify radome effects on radar performance  相似文献

雷达图像仿真是飞行仿真的重要组成部分,而雷达地形数据库为雷达图像仿真提供基本的数据支持。为构建满足仿真精度与实时性要求的雷达地形数据库,对相关关键技术进行了研究。在分析雷达图像仿真原理的基础上,研究了雷达地形数据库在分布式飞行仿真系统中的应用方式和组成形式。根据所用数据源的不同,对雷达地形建模技术进行了分类,并分析了不同建模方法的优缺点。比较了网格式与多边形式2种数据存储与调度技术的特点和适用性,指出多分辨率表示技术雷达地形建模中的重要性,给出了一种材质数据多分辨率映射的基于材质最大出现概率的子取样方法。对机载雷达实波束地形测绘成像进行了仿真。  相似文献

Under the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA)/ASTO sponsorship, through a contract from the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWC), the Environmental Research Institute of Michigan (ERIM) has developed an ultrawideband (UWB) very high frequency (VHF)/ultrahigh frequency (UHF) fully polarimetric airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) for studying the detection of foliage-obscured objects. The radar is installed in the NAWC P-3 testbed aircraft and takes advantage of existing ERIM-built multimode, fully-polarimetric X/L/C-band SAR hardware. Previous radar wake vortex detection experiments have resulted in measured beam averaged values of radar reflectivity from wake vortices in clear air. We have employed average wind and thermodynamic variable output from a two dimensional wake vortex model in clear air and fog to predict radar reflectivity in a wake vortex on a one meter grid. The results agree well, compared to data in the literature. In the clear air case, scales of turbulence were analyzed at each grid point to determine the appropriate maximum radar frequency for detection, initial wake structure, transport, and vortex persistence are related to atmospheric winds, atmospheric stability, and generating aircraft characteristics  相似文献

 随着军事装备的不断发展,无源探测器(电子支援系统、雷达告警接收机和电子情报接收机)对飞机的探测能力大大提高。为了避免机载雷达设备辐射的射频(RF)信号被截获,要求飞机具有良好的射频隐身性能。综合考虑机载雷达探测距离和无源截获接收机截获距离之间的关系以及天线空域扫描方式发生捷变对飞机射频隐身性能的影响,指出了用施里海尔(Schleher)截获因子评价飞机射频隐身性能的不足,并提出用信号截获率来表征飞机射频隐身特性的方法。最后,对影响信号截获率的因素进行分析与计算,在此基础上给出飞机实现射频隐身的途径与方法。该评价方法综合了飞机在时域、频域和空域上的射频隐身特性,对飞机的射频隐身设计具有参考价值。  相似文献
