This paper discusses the US Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center's (TARDEC's) four (4) axis strategy for integration of robotics into the legacy, interim, and objective forces. At the cornerstone of this strategy is the R&D effort concentrating on autonomous perception and navigation, intelligent tactical behavior, command and control, and man-robot interface entailed in the Demo III and Robotic Follower programs. Smart Manned Systems focuses on a systems engineering approach for robotic solutions into the interim force (Vetronics Technology Testbed and Crew Integration & Automation Testbed). In the near-term, application of robotics to the legacy force will be achieved through adapting commercial automation technologies, which address military requirements. Finally, Intelligent Mobility will investigate improving intrinsic platform mobility to lessen the burden on robotic sensing performance. Intelligent transportation systems (ITS) are state-of-the-art approaches based on information, communication and satellite technologies in mitigating traffic congestion, enhancing safety, and improving quality of environment. ITS are being used in many industrialized and emerging economies for the last two decades to facilitate traffic managers in tackling surface mobility problems. In the case of many developing countries, policy makers and practitioners have neglected this "non-conventional" approach on the pretext inter alia, "technological sophistication," cost and institutional ill-preparedness. This aims to underscore the importance and relevance of ITS for developing countries as a complementary tool in the 21st century. Trajectory planning of unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) is a rather complicated global optimum problem in UCAV mission planning. Intelligent water drops (IWD) algorithm is newly presented under the inspiration of the dynamic of river systems and the actions that water drops do in the rivers, and it is easy to combine with other methods in optimization. In this paper, we propose an improved IWD optimization algorithm for solving the single UCAV smooth trajectory planning problems in various combating environments. The water drops can act as an agent in searching the optimal UCAV trajectory. The detailed realization procedure for this novel approach is also presented. In order to make the optimized UCAV trajectory more feasible for exact flying, an efficient path smoothing method called the κ-trajectory is adopted for smoothing the single UCAV trajectory. Series experimental comparison results show the proposed IWD optimization algorithm is more effective and feasible in the single UCAV smooth trajectory planning than the basic IWD model. 相似文献

In order to reduce the development cycle of mechanical products and corresponding toolings, a large number of components are utilized in these structures. Accordingly, automatic location method for components is a key issue in the research on intelligent computer aided design (CAD) techniques. Integrated with the investigation into intelligent design techniques for aircraft manufacturing toolings, in-depth researches on this issue are conducted. Formalized automatic location principles, representative methods and implementation algorithms are proposed and established. First, several terms and their formalized representative methods including process condition, location base and location operator are defined. Second, computation modeling of components automatic location and methods of location transformation are proposed. Then, definition of base structure and some key algorithms for automatic location are introduced. These principles and algorithms are developed, applied and verified in research project “Jig Intelligent CAD (JigICAD) System”. 相似文献
