| Abstract: | A technique of determining the rational design parameters for a heated sandwich cylindrical shell under the action of external
pressure impulse is presented. The load-carrying capacity of the shell is analyzed based on the nonlinear theory of thin elastic
shells. The design parameters are optimized using the methods for nonlinear programming. |
