Abstract:The feed mechanism is playing an important role in precision and micro machining. The characteristics of current types of feed mechanism were analyzed. The structure and working principle of macro/micro complex feed mechanism were described. The theory in actuating piezoelectric ceramic actuator and the attention matters in making the actuator was discussed. The examples of the application of macro/micro complex feed mechanism in micro electro discharge machining were given.
