Research on compensation method of space debris array walk for space-based TDM-MIMO radar

Abstract:The space-based TDM-MIMO radar can simultaneously complete larger airspace search and multi-target tracking tasks, which is conducive to simultaneous tracking of multiple debris, and the system architecture is simple, which can obtain more system freedom at a small cost. However, due to the relatively high-speed movement between the space debris and the radar, the target echo signal changes from a narrowband array signal to a broadband array signal, and the uniform linear array is distorted into a relatively stepped array, which cannot achieve energy focusing. In order to solve the above problems and improve the comprehensive detection capability of TDM-MIMO radar, the article proposes a spatial non-uniform array correction and compensation algorithm. The method first uses the keystone transform to correct the movement of the array in the time domain, and then reorganizes the data of different channels. And finally achieve energy focusing through MTD algorithm. At this time, the target can be distinguished at a lower signal-to-noise ratio, thereby realizing moving target detection. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed method is effective and has strong engineering application value.
