Simulation of Large-scale Aircraft Cabin Temperature Control System

Abstract:A large-scale aircraft cabin temperature control system is a time-varying, nonlinear and big time-constant complex control system, and it is difficult to obtain satisfactory control effect by means of traditional control methods. A new approach for cabin temperature control is proposed in this article based on system control demands. The control system is divided into two parts: cooling pack temperature control and zone temperature control. The zone temperature controller calculates a demand temperature signal for each zone, and chooses the lowest temperature as the demand temperature of the pack temperature controller. The expert proportion-integral-differential(PID) control method is used to design the pack temperature controller, and a temperature control query table based on fuzzy control theory is used to design the zone temperature controller. This new control method is compared with the traditional one by computer simulation, and a dynamical analysis of the control system is conducted for the whole flight process. Simulation results show that this temperature control system is superior to the conventional PID control program. The control system demonstrates small overshoot and high control precision, while the gas temperature and its rate of change meets the requirements.
