Abstract:The experience of cosmonauts who have participated in long-duration space flights has great value for solving problems connected with realization of the Martian manned mission. To study the cosmonauts’ opinion in relation to the Martian crew size, professional specialization of crewmembers, duration of their joint training, the possible sources of psychological tension in the flight, etc., a special questionnaire has been developed. The results of the 11 Russian cosmonauts’ survey are presented in this article.
