| Abstract: | In Europe an extensive cluster of research projects, ‘X-noise’, works on further significantly reducing aircraft noise. The aircraft industry has already achieved significant success in reducing aircraft noise. But the continued growth in demand for air travel and the overall interest to protect the environment as well as possible strengthens the need for further improvements. |
