| Abstract: | FIREDASS was an EU funded research project concerned with the development of fine water mist systems as possible replacements for halon fire suppression systems currently used in aircraft cargo holds. This paper gives an overview of the results of computational modelling and fire test validation, highlights the benefits of European Research collaboration, and examines the successes of the programme. |
