Abstract:A method taking dynamic inflow into account is developed to analyse the rotor flap/lag stability and coupled rotor/body stability in hover. The method is verified bystability experiments. The influence of dynamic inflow on rotor flap/lag stability is investigated in different conditions. The inflow mode is identified by a new way. The workdone by inflow on other degrees of freedom is investigated to give a physical explanation ofthe effect of dynamic inflow.
