The periodic X-ray transient A0538-66 and its optical counterpart |

| Abstract: | The long term light curve of the optical counterpart of A0538-66 is discussed, and a revised estimate for the period obtained. Observations of the optical spectrum during outburst and preliminary results from Einstein observations of two recent X-ray flares are presented. |
