摘 要: | At the beginning of 2004 China National Space Admimstration announced that China would formally start the 1st phase of its lunar exploration program, Chang'e-1 in 2004. When attending the "Forum on China Important Engineering and Technology Achievements", Mr. Hu Hao, the director of the Lunar Exploration Engineering Center, revealed that as the first part of China's lunar exploration program the Chang'e-1 satellite is expected to be sent to orbit the moon in 2007 by a LM-3A carrier rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center.
