| Abstract: | Politeness is a common social phenomenon in multiple cultures.The cultural differences cause varied politeness principles in different nations.In this essay Chinese and western cultural differences are compared and analyzed from the perspective of politeness principles.The purpose is to enhance the English learners＇ cross-cultural communication capabilities. |
