| Abstract: | In 1992, a total of 1,285 people were killed in road traffic accidents in the Netherlands, a relative small country with less than 15 million inhabitants. It is accepted by public opinion that the average number of people killed in road accidents is approximately 1,200 annually. Business as usual. |
