There are much complex variables in the matching calculation of transmission line.The operation of complex variables was very complex.So the traditional method to operate complex variable was to use the Smith chart.But the traditional processing method was easy to make mistake.A new method was introduced in this paper to calculate regulating susceptance of multi-branch impedence matcher by MathCAD.Comparing with the traditional method,the new method had the characteristics of that the clear physical conception,the process was simple and the result was precise.
