Comparison of different N(h) profiles with mid-latitude ionospheric observations

After inversion, N(h) profiles obtained from ionograms that had been recorded during high solar activity at two mid-latitutde stations have been compared with those derived from IRI90 and DGR ionospheric models. A small data set has been selected such that both geomagnetically quiet and disturbed conditions are represented.
