After using 3D CAD process and digital preassembly to design the part for the airplane, BCAG chartered a breakthrough production strategy that attacked several key problems at once based on the new technology PDM. The resulting Define and Control Airplane Configuration/Manufacturing Resource Management (DCAC/MRM) program simplifies the processes and systems that are used to configure and define the components for each airplane, to build and assemble those parts, and to manage the data.
