Li Lang is a person who likes to go deep into what he does. He does not play with words, images or sentiments. When he speaks, you can feel that what he is saying fully absorbs him, to the point of becoming slightly annoyed when his interlocutor is too playful and not on the same wavelength. There is pathos in his voice, gaze, and images. He has a solemnity that bears no trace of the trendy lifestyle of most contemporary artists. At the same time, he likes to split his sides with laughter whenever he gets the chance. These are some of the reasons why I like him, as a person and as a photographer.
