文化认同与英语学习:基于非英语专业大学生的历时研究

通过问卷对三个年级557名非英语专业大学生的英美文化认同进行了调查研究,发现总体上这些大学生对英美文化的认同呈上升趋势;文化认同与他们的课外英语学习时间呈弱正相关,而与专业、年龄、英语学习年限呈弱负相关;文化认同与性别、家庭背景和外在动机开始呈正相关而后来却呈负相关,始学年龄则相反;文化认同与内在动机呈显著正相关,而与英语水平呈不显著的正相关。

Cultural Identification and English Learning：A Diachronic Study Based on College Non-English Majors

This article ,through questionnaire ,diachronically investigated the Anglo-American cultural i-dentification of 557 non-English majors in three different grades . It finds out that on the w hole these students＇identification with Anglo-American culture is on the rise;cultural identification correlated weakly and positively to their extracurricular hours spent on English learning ,but weakly and negatively to their major ,age ,years of English learning ,except Grade 2011 ,correlation of other grades is not significant ;at the beginning cultural identification correlates positively but latter negatively to their gender ,family back-ground and external motivation ,while the correlation of age to start English learning with cultural identifi-cation is just opposite ,except the positive significant correlation between years of learning and cultural i-dentification of Grade 2011 ,that of other grades are not significant ;cultural identification correlates posi-tively significant to internal motivation but positively insignificant to English proficiency .
