| Abstract: | A very efficient method of creating complex signal samples from a band-limited real signal is presented. Because the method employs a simple mixer followed by one analog-to-digital (A/D) converter, plus a finite-duration impulse response (FIR) filter for image band rejection, there is no phase distortion in the resulting sampled signal.
