基于FSS的太赫兹功能器件研究

摘    要:随着太赫兹技术的发展,在微波波段广泛使用的FSS器件结构也逐步被借鉴到太赫兹功能器件设计与制作中。基于FSS结构的太赫兹功能器件的主要优点是可以很方便地将不同功能的单元结构集成在一个器件上来实现对特定频率的操控。文章介绍了几种研究中的基于FSS的太赫兹功能器件,并通过自制的THz-TDS实验装置对部分器件的器件功能进行了测试,实验结果与仿真结果吻合较好,表明FSS器件具有良好的偏振控制能力和频率可选择性。通过相关基础研究,不仅可以拓展FSS结构在太赫兹领域的应用,同时可丰富FSS库。

A study of FSS based terahertz devices

Abstract:With the development of terahertz technology, FSS structures, normally used in the microwave band, have gradually been adopted to THz band for the design and fabrication of THz functional devices. The main advantage of the FSS based terahertz devices is that one can easily integrate different functional cell structure onto a single chip to achieve a spe- cific manipulation for a particular frequency. This article introduces our studies on the FSS based terahertz functional de- vices. The measurement results gotten from our homemade THz-TDS system show that the designed FSS devices have good performance on the polarization depended frequency selection. The experimental results agree well with the simulation re- suits. Through the relevant basic research,one can find more potential applications in terahertz range for FSS structures and enrich the family of FSS devices.
