Integrating Voice and Data on Circuit-Switched Networks

Integrating voice and data traffic on a common network using circuit switching is considered. A reasonable design methodology was employed to probe a variety of economic issues. Among these were the cost benefits of voice digitization, the effect of data terminal user behavior, and the overhead of network signaling.
