Application of Model-based Design Synthesis Method in Integrated Data Management System

This paper introduces a model based design synthesis method in Harmony, and the application of this method in integrated data management system. The work flow of the method includes architecture analysis, architecture design and detailed architecture design. The activities and the products of each phase are clarified, and the application results of each phase in the system are given. Finally, the hand-off to the hardware and software developer after the design synthesis phase is explained. The application result shows that the design synthesis method could connect the system function analysis phase and hardware/software development phase properly, and it could apply the model based design synthesis and verification to the system architecture, which improves the reliability of the system design synthesis result.
