| Abstract: | The influence ot space environment on materials processing is discussed.It may be considered that there are four stages-exploration stage, research & development stage, preliminary processing stage and industrial stage-for materials processing in space and the developed countries are now in the second stage.The present status of space materials science in China is analysed and the possible range of materials science reseach is described. A proposal for space materials science experiments in China before 2000 is also suggested, |
