Abstract:The built-in three-axis atomic magnetometer in the nuclear magnetic resonance gyro-scope (NMRG) is an elegant way to realize the miniaturization of the NMRG. In this paper, a NMRG based on a three-axis atomic magnetometer is demonstrated. The important parameters that affect the performance of the three-axis atomic magnetometer are optimized, and the better scale factors of the x-axis, y-axis and z-axis magnetometer signal are obtained, and a more sensitive three-axis atomic magnetometer has been realised. After the three-axis magnetic fields are locked in closed-loop to measure the output of the NMRG for 6000 seconds, the angle random walk (ARW) and bias instability of the NMRG are measured as 0.038 (°)/h1/2 and 0.94 (°)/h, respectively.
