Abstract:In order to meet the needs of high-precision and low-cost time service in the fields of new generation of mobile communications and Internet of Things, a multi-region real-time kinematic precise time service system based on BeiDou is proposed to solve the problem that the general real-time kinematic timing service covers only a small area. The system consists of standard time, time base station, real-time high-precision time and frequency transfer link, data center and time user, etc., which can realize multi-region coverage for real-time kinematic timing service of standard time. Relying on the time and frequency resources and the satellite navigation platform of National Time Service Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences, a prototype system is established, and the experimental test is carried out based on the multi-day observation data of BeiDou-3 satellites. The test results show that the short-baseline timing uncertainty is better than 0.2ns, and the frequency stability is stable by the order of 10-15 in ten thousand seconds; the zero-baseline timing uncertainty can reach 0.02ns, and the frequency stability is stable by the order of 10-16 in ten thousand seconds. The proposed multi-region real-time kinematic precise time service system based on BeiDou is feasible in technology, which could be helpful for BeiDou precise time applications.
