| Abstract: | This paper discusses what should be emphasized in teaching atomic physics of the general phySics in engineering colleges, proposing that emphasis should be put on basic concepts and focal points, that it should be made clear that experiments and new ideas or new concepts are interrelated and that introductions should be gived to the new advances made in the related high-technologies and their prospective applications. |
