摘    要:三维图像的大数据量对三维可视化的快速交互造成极大的困难,而三维可视化技术已成为生物医学影像、虚拟现实等应用领域研究的重要工具。为了实现三维图像的快速交互,本文提出了一个表面数据压缩算法,并用COM/ATL软件设计技术进行了实现。该算法可以大量减少描述复杂对象的三角形个数,而对象的可视细节并不损失,最终的功能组件可以直接集成到需要图像数据压缩的应用开发中。乳房图像和小兔子图像数据压缩应用例证了所提算法的合理性。

Abstract:The harder difficulty for three dimensional visualization techniques results from the huge quantity of 3D image data, while three dimensional visualization techniques are becoming an important tool for biomedicine image and visual reality. Arbitrary topology surfaces with millions and most recently billions of vertices can be accurately acquired. Such models place large strains on computation, storage, transmission, and display resources. Compression is essential in these settings, where an early coarse approximation can be subsequently improved through additional bits. While compression of images has a long history and has achieved a high level of sophistication, compression of surfaces is relatively new and evolution is rapid. To implement fast and effective interaction application, a surface data compression algorithm is proposed and implemented with COM/ATL technology. The algorithm reduces the number of triangles required to model complex objects without losing visible details. The component can be integrated into the application of any image compression. The compression of the breast and the bunny further verifies the rationality of the algorithm.
