Abstract:The Tilt-Rotor (T/R) is a relatively new rotorcraft configuration combining the advantages of the propeller-driven airplane and of the helicopter. The RHILP project is focusing on critical T/R flight technologies. The prime objective of RHILP is to study specific aspects of T/R aeromechanics and flight characteristics that are considered to be of the highest importance before designing and testing a flying demonstrator.
