Aeronautics activities in Greece and related R&TD stimulation

This paper provides an overview of the aeronautics sector in Greece in its present status and its perspectives in a rapidly changing environment. It briefly makes a reference to the background which is important for understanding the factors that shaped the sector's development and describes the present situation with emphasis on existing research capabilities and recent R T D activities. Furthermore, the stimulating actions of the relevant public authority responsible for research and technology in Greece are highlighted in the context of its policy to promote development of high-tech sectors.
