| 摘 要： | This paper describes the unique environment and the facilities in Xichang Satellite Launch Center. Its climate and geographical features are suitable for launching geostationary satellites.There are two launch complexes in this site. One is the Long March 3 launch complex which is theAerospace China/Summer 1992fixed and 77m high launch tower. It has successfully launched 7 satellites. Another is the Long March 2E launch complex which is composed of a 97m mobile tower and a 74m fixed tower. The first use of this complex was in July, 1990 when Long March 2E made the maiden test flight.The technical test, satellite assembling and other neccessary facilities in this launch site are introduced here.
