Planning for the international space year

Preparations and proposals for the 1992 International Space Year are being made which cover a wide range of activities, organizations and nations; the momentum is building. There is an urgent need for an informal and independent ISY Steering Committee to legitimize the ISY and catalyse activities. With creativity and international cooperation, the International Space Year could be the most inspiring and transforming activity of the space age.
