Abstract:The aeroengine technology is becoming one of the most challenging, difficult and influential research fields all over the world. Many countries are putting more emphases on this field. For pursuing the increasing overall performance,the aeroengine is always operating nearly at 2200K,which is much higher than the superalloy melting point. Therefore, the development of the aeroengine based on the superalloy material encounters the bottleneck. Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC), with low density and high thermal resistance, has been regarded as the potential thermal structure material for the future. Currently, CMC is gradually utilized in aeroengine and the rocket engine, especially in the hot components such as stator vane, rotor blade and combustor. Nevertheless, the anisotropy properties of CMC due to the internal structural and the difference between matrix and fibers lead to big challenges and difficulties for the hot components design and manufacturing. The present paper aims to analyze the development and the perspective of the CMC applications in aeroengine based on a brief review of the relevant pubulic resarch work.
