| Abstract: | Recent developments in X- and γ-ray astronomy indicate the need to know the absolute attitude of balloon-borne telescopes with a precision greater than can be achieved using magnetic sensors. The prospects for being able to construct a star tracker for use during both day and night time are reviewed. |
